does the boost gauge bounce erratically? mine does when the battery is flat :)

it doesn't sound good :( personally I would get a mechanic to check it over and tell you whats wrong, the missfire may be due to the damp days we've been having recently, the noise defiently sounds like tappets but is VERY loud, who knows maybe your valves are toasted, how does she drive?

The term "Ricer" comes from when japanese bikes were imported over to America, the americans on harleys ect called them rice rockets, (from asia so must be powered by rice) it moved over to cars when cars started putting exhausts on their cars to make them sound like japanese bikes. So in its truest meaning everyone with a non stock exhaust is a ricer :)

surely the speed is liited by the gear ratio and not the ammount of boost you are putting out? are you sure your revometer is reading correctly? have you bounced off the rev limiter? or you may have bought a NA.... I believe the gear ratios are that same though.

Bilky - I have a similar nose to you, check one of the banks of the engine to see if its coming from there, general consensus is that it may be a hydraulic tappet when the engine is cold making the noise......
