  1. You must have used single sticky sided neoprene I guess Adam.
  2. Don't feel sorry for the bumper! It's ugly as sin when complete anyway! LOL
  3. What a waste of beautiful wheels.
  4. I found it easier to heat them. I didn't want to break mine or crack them as I sold them on as a near-perfect set which Glenn used to make is J-spec replicas.
  5. You're the ONLY person who's ever had problems with the powertrix product! LOL. Hundreds and hundreds of people on the US site run on them and they've never had any issues with them. I'd suggest their failure was attributed to either incorrect setup or a faulty component?
  6. Advise on taking the centre panel off first for easier removal of the lights.
  7. Yes I did. I prefer the chrome bezels in the centre panel as they match the lights.
  8. Heating the lights themselves to split the skins is much harder than removing the lights from the car itself. Take all the trim out of the boot along the edge and heat the back of the lights so the metal they mount to becomes warm. Make sure you remove the centre peice first as you can use the edges of the lights to pull on.
  9. Yeah, they are easier to remove if you warm up the panels to loosen the tar. You'll also get new rolls of tar with your new lights if you're buying brand new. One of the best mods you can do to the arse of the Z. You'll love it when you see them on there. :)
  10. You won't get vibration through the steering wheel if it's prop related.
  11. All the powertrix stuff rids the car of bushes in place of rose joints and bearings. I've got the lot on mine.
  12. H&R are probably the best if you want a mild drop with good comfort. Similar to the Eibach, but lower the car a little. They are quite expensive though. I have Tein S-tech on mine and they are pretty good.
  13. Depends what you want! You want the ability to adjust shock rate? Spring height? Neither?
  14. I guess you don't go fishing?...or ever shop for a new knife? Knifes are tools which are used in everyday life. It's like banning a baseball bat in public. I do understand your thoughts, I'd like to see all weapons banished.
  15. No, there's a huge range of different power rated diesels ranging from a dowdy 70hp non turbo in the early cars to a 150hp unit in the higher spec later cars. 2.0 TDi is in the current Leon.
  16. Might be getting one of these in a few weeks. The 1.9TDi. Always prefered the look of the Leon over the Golf which I find bland and dull looking. I like VAG build quality though. Just wondering on people's opinions on them are.
  17. You're going into hospital to have your pants removed. It's a four hour operation or something...............Milky Milky
  18. http://www.leatherseats.com I think they look better than the nippon ones with the nice double stitching.
  19. Interesting. I'm now wondering if the large black connector on mine under the wheel contains not only the hicas wiring, but also the CC wiring...?
  20. Thanks Adam. I'm still a little unsure as to what is what. Reason being is that yours is an N/A and therefore doesn't have all te HICAS wiring. Obviously mine has a HICAS boss and has had the copper ring and contacts removed, so not sure on the wiring behind that.....also, that last photo doesn't work. A belated Happy Birthday by the way. :)
  21. I've seen the car and I think it's worth £5k+, so go for it. Hardly any good UK cars about anymore.
  22. I dunno, I'd say a heater matrix, if it is that, isn't the easiest job in the world. Dashboard out. I believe that a few people have managed to do it without removing it. Hope you haven't warped your heads with the overheating.
  23. Sounds like you have a leak or something that's developed into an airlock.
