  1. The Brabus ones look kinda cool....but this doesn't....lol ;) I must admit, as much as I dislike small cars, if I lived in London, then something like the Smart is a very good idea.
  2. Ok, unfortunately, the column shroud is longer than the early one, so unless you're going to change the column and ignition, then it's not going to work. I for one can't be bothered to do all that. I'm going to mount the buttons on the side of the shroud and recess them so it looks as factory-fit as possible. Not the best location, but there aren't really many places to fit the button pad. Maybe on the centre consol. Not really ideal, but there's nowhere else to put it and I don't like the aftermarket steering wheel hornpush adaptor ones at all.
  3. If you believe that Lisa, you'll believe anything! ;)
  4. Still looks like ass though.
  5. You're turning it into a merry-go-round! lol
  6. Oh dear oh dear. Your poor car. No need to punish it with that! As for chrome wiper arms....nasty! :(
  7. I think I'll be letting you know even sooner as I am supposed to be collecting a set tonight. I'll post up my findings. Cheers for your help anyway. :)
  8. Not really no. Sorry mate. Not sure what the airbag stuff looks like. That just shows me the connectors for the horn push and also the airbag unit itself.
  9. I think the reason I am thinking the column shroud is longer is because the steering wheel needs to sit further toward the driver due to the fitment of the airbag. So it would still apear that the stalks would sit the same distance to the wheel, but they'd be further away from the dash...if that makes sense.
  10. ...not sure if you can check, but at the part numbers for the shroud on pre-94 models the same as +94 models without cruise control option?
  11. Is there any reason why you think it might not? I guess as long as the connector is the same, then it should work as all they are are switches. I am more concerned about general fitment. I have a feeling the shroud is longer on the airbag model (longer steering column?) which means it won't fit the non-airbag model.
  12. Unless you have a shroud and can measure S1 vs airbag CC. Photos would be good.
  13. I have a horrible feeling that this thing won't fit. Here are photos of both types. Sure they are LHD, but look how much bigger the shroud is compared to the shroud of the non-airbag model. It won't fit as the hub will be in the way. Any thoughts on this?
  14. The controls do the same thing though don't they? IE, the CC stalk has 'set' 'cancel' +/-speed just the same as the steering wheel buttons?
  15. Omega TDS was introduced in 98 iirc. I think there's an early version though. Anyway, for someone that hates diesels, you know an awful lot about them! ;)
  16. The diesel Omegas will do about 40mpg on a good motoway run, around 30 around town. Drive a big comfy car for with the economy of a crappy little supermini. The Omega 2.5 diesel is common rail AFAIK I too hate diesel cars. I have one though.
  17. MK3 and MK4 Astras were not available with Auto trans on diesel. I'd go for an Omega 6-cyl diesel auto. Omegas are very good cars, Vauxhall were always good at making good RWD motors and they Omega diesel is fitted with a BMW unit. Extremely comfortable, fully loaded. I've always liked the look of them too.
  18. I don't think they are an improvement over the stock ones. Darker lights look far menacing.
  19. They only got the Z32 until 96.
  20. It's written in Nissan literature though.
  21. I've done about 30,000 miles this year and I've only seen 1 or 2 on the road.
