  1. Jonce, there are also a lot going for £3k - £5k...recent ones too.
  2. PMSL...me too! I'm also keeping an eye on the ban-log
  3. Maybe MadModder has hacked the site! LOL
  4. Too hot?? You're joking right? Rarely is it too hot in the UK! LOL I gave myself the afternoon off and went for a drive in the Z today! Sorry to hear about your woes. :(
  5. Either the bottom end will be rebuilt or not. What exactly is he doing? Doesn't sound like you know what he's going to be doing to it.
  6. The stock horn sounds pants at the best of times. I ripped mine off and fitted a 2-tone Bosch horn from an Omega. The horn has a more quality sound to it, rather than the nasty Datsun Cherry-esque sound of the original. So, worth replacing even if it hasn't failed.
  7. Just something I've noticed...and I'm not the first. 240Z, 260Z, 280ZX, Z31 and Z32 drivers will always give some kind of recognisional gesture when they see each other on the road....but 350Z drivers....NEVER do. It's something the US guys have noticed as well. A complete disregard for the entire Z marque. I am sure most of them don't really know the Z heritage as the Z33 is too new and many that buy them don't appreciate or know about the Z car range. It's no real loss as I've never really liked the Z33, but I'll always acknowledge it as a Z car. I am sure that in about 10 - 15 years time when most of the remaining examples have fallen into Z enthusiasts' hands will there be a change. I know that sounds scathing as we have a few Z33 owners on here, but in general, there is no patriotism toward the Z car range from them.
  8. Beautiful. I love cats. £125 isn't bad for a pedegree. I want a snow-shoe at some point....with blue eyes preferably.
  9. Both front and rear appear to have been rolled. I'd specify my own offset and width though exactly to my spec. I think I'd have a 9" rim at the front with a possible +25 offset and 10" rear with like a +40. Some mild rolling maybe. I currently have a 8.5" front with a +25 offset and rears are 9.5 @ +35.
  10. Yeah, mine are 18". LMs are pricey, similar price to my Advans when new. If I was to order, I'd have them to my own specified width and offset which would add to the price. I think they are some £500 a wheel.
  11. BBS LMs have always been up there as one of my favourite rims. But I've never seen a Z with a set on until I stumbled across these. It's tooooo low at the back, but the wheels work so damn well. Offset wins a life too! Perfect fitment. Alas, I've spent way too much lately and certainly can't afford these at the moment. Maybe one day! Poor quality photos, but nice to see such a quality rim on the Z.
  12. Also, the half tank thing is negligable. With a full tank of fuel, you're lugging around more weight, so whilst you're preventing fuel from evaporating by filling the tank at half full, you're also putting more load on the engine due to the increased weight. So, again, whilst the theory is correct, in reality, they cancel each other out.
  13. Read it all before. The morning thing is crap unless you're living in a country with extreme temperature changes. Petrol tanks are buried in the ground under about 10" of concrete. Would take extreme temperature changes to even mildly effect fuel density. In theory, it's true, in reality, see above.
  14. PMSL @ Mark
  15. There is a search button...the question has been asked a million times. ;)
  16. Noooooooooo, don't do that. Don't make the wipers stand out. Wipers aren't aesthetically pleasing at the best of times, but to draw attention to them is like drawing a huge circle round and an arrow directing to an unpleasant white-head or boil. Keeping them black like the base of the windscreen helps them be more inconspicuous and makes the car look much neater and more tidy.
  17. A couple of grand?? LOL. Mate, they are a classic car, not a bargain banger. The 240Z is very sought after. Hardly any in the UK. Good ones still go for good money and rightly so, just like any other classic.
  18. Shows how much I pay attention then!
  19. The only view that looks good on the MK4 Supra is from the arse. I can appreciate them for what they are, but they just don't do it. Haven't aged particularly well. I actually prefer the shape of the MK3 by a long way. Always liked these. Even the dash is nicer than the horrible lorry-look dash of the MK4.
  20. I had wondered what was going on this morning. Well done anyway, looks like it all went well and pretty quickly!
  21. Excellent stuff! Cheers mate, much appreciated. :duffer:
  22. Mike's very good. I've used him numberous times.
  23. I've been lucky. Only thing mine's ever failed on was a noisey wheel bearing which I already knew about. I try to keep on top of everything so that the car sails through. Last MOT passed no problems.
