  1. You should have had a drive of mine at the Dyno day Joel. I've got Tein S-tech on mine.
  2. Not really my thing, but the paint looks pretty good. :) Just one thing though....please tell me you haven't.....
  3. Horrible looking though.

They look legal to me unfortunately, but only just. They are not quite down to the tread markers. The one on the left is above it. Lease companies are quite stringent with tyres and the likes of Kwik Fit, ATS etc will say no to fitting new tyres. Reason? They get mystery callers from the lease companies. Kwik Fit/ATS etc won't replace tyres at the tread markers either. Tread marker indicates 2mm of tread left. For the tyre company to fit new ones, it has to be under that. Legal limit is 1.6mm. If it's between that and 2.00mm, then they should replace them. Half your tyre looks to be slightly above the 2.00mm limit as the left hand side is just above the wear marker. The right hand side looks like it's on the tread marker @ 2.00. The extreme right hand side is below the limit though. The best way to get new tyres is to drive over a nail and give it a slow puncture. They won't repair tyres that are below 3mm as it's not economically viable.
  5. Bee Gee Vinz' long lost brother! hehe ;)
  6. Heard about that on the news this morning. Can't get over the reduced size of the car. It's now the size of a Smart car!
  7. If we join the Euro, we'll be paying that amount too as I believe those figures are dictated by Brussels. It doesn't all go into the coffers at the irish treasury. It's only a matter of time. With the current economic downturn, the UK government will once again consider joining the Euro. I think it's ridiculous penalising owners of cars that old. Not only do the numbers of cars over 15 years old equate to about 10% of the volumes in the UK, but those that old tend to be cherished cars that only really get used for special occasions or summer use.
  8. I couldn't actually remember. I am sure they have though.
  9. They've never used the Z32 in the bargain banger thing though.
  10. They're more likely to do this.... http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=114051
  11. You'd want to see one bought for peanuts, hammered to death and then trashed? As has been said, it really would be the nail in the coffin for any residual value left in the cars!
  12. Watching TG at the moment, they've killed some quite nice cars. Old 635CSi, Alfa Spiders, Fiat coupes etc. Do you think they'll one day buy a cheap Z32, abuse it and wreck it? I know some would love to see it, but I would absolutely hate to see one bought for peanuts and then distroyed. Wouldn't do anything for the model or value.
  13. Good price those! Darn! They came at the wrong time for me. If I hadn't just fitted my Tein S-techs, I'd have had those like a shot. You can at least start to amass parts. It's something I do. Just buy things in dribs and drabs then when you have everything, go ahead and fit it! :D
  14. Nope. If you're going to uprate your suspension, you need that lot as a minimum really. It's similar to what I have and I didn't fit coilovers. Unless you can find a GB or second hand parts.
  15. I'd budget for the following if you want to do the job properly if you don't, you won't get the look you won't AND you'll get terrible tyre wear. GC coilvers £250 KYB AGX shocks : £300 Powertrix adjustable front camber arms : £200 Powertrix adjustable tension rods : £120 Powertrix adjustable rear camber arms : £150 Full laser geometry setup (castor/camber) £120 Total = £1140 this won't include the fitting of them either. Make sure you budget around that amount.
  16. 2.5" is like 60mm! That's plenty. Any more and the car would simply be undrivable. This is the sort of thing you get with Ground Control.... Baring in mind this car is tricked out with Powertrix adjustable geometry and some cool spacers. Something you'll need, well, you'll need the adjustable camber arms, tension rods and some new shocks. KYB AGX are the recommended.
  17. If I was in the market, I'd pay good money for it. Seldom few examples such as yours.
  18. The states. GC coilovers use Eibach springs. I'm considering fitting them to mine and taking out what I currently have. Undecided if I want to go a little lower than I currently am. http://www.ground-control-store.com/products/description.php/II=64/CA=93
  19. Because they are cheap Chinese shit with bouncy spring rates. GC coilovers are the best of the 'not quite real coilovers' setup.
  20. Very nice. The best mod you can do to the arse of a Z32. Second to none!
  21. The 350Z is more of a down grade IMHO. Don't dislike them, but they rarely get me looking. With the little use it gets, IMHO, you're better off keeping it, saving the cash in buying a 350 AND the cost of the fuel and get a nice diesel DD or something.
  22. Just post-whore here so we can see more of your slippery shiney goodness!
  23. You talking about the white dial kit, the alloy fascia or the speedo rings or all 3?
