  1. There is a GB for 99-spec over on 3ZC I think. $308 the pair, that's like £150...bargain!
  2. Sounds like good plans. Only things I'd do to yours now is get the front wing rolled slightly and mod the arch liner, get some 20mm spacers and you're set. Rears, you may need to trim a bit, but I'd get larger spacers for the back too if you can. 99-spec rear lights, bumper of your choice and I'd put the smooth nose panel back on.
  3. I've got Alpine in mine and I think it's brilliant! Quality gear! Mine's a 2din though rather than flip out.
  4. I've always liked the Volvo T5. HUGELY underestimated car. A friend of mine has a black estate one that he fitted BBS LM wheels to and a Volvo bodykit. It's got new paint and looks lovely. Power delivery is delightful and it sounds good too. I'd have one as a DD without a shot! Pretty good on fuel off boost. I remember this video some years ago and thought it was pretty cool..
  5. 99-spec rear lights would really finish the back end off. :)
  6. Spacers needed front and rear imho. Looks loads better.
  7. Auto or manual?
  8. I think diesel sports cars are a bit of a false economy. As has been metioned, other than sounding crap, having poor throttle response and limited rev-range, the more you get up towards the high performance diesels, the less efficient they are and the more expensive they are to buy. The people that buy sports cars tend to have the money to afford the fuel and want a petrol car. A petrol car is a drivers' car, the diesel engine isn't regardless of how much power it produces. It just isn't responsive or refined enough. I'd never buy a performance diesel. My housemate used to have one of the current BMW 535 Twin Turbo diesels. Cracking car with a crazy amount of torque. Fuel consumption was pretty poor to be honest. I'd sooner have a diesel DD that was pracitcal rather than a a diesel car that was impracitcal. The 350Z is not a practical car and never will be. Throwing a diesel engine in it makes it sound amusing. Diesel sports car still have a limited appeal and will never sell in great numbers. As the cost of diesel goes up over petrol and the reduced economy offered by high performance diesels, to offer any real cost savings, you'd be having to do series mileage. The vast majority of high mileage vehicles are fleet cars. Fleet cars always have and always will be 4/5 door saloon/hatchback cars.
  9. Do you live in Longwell Green? There's quite a few Bristol members. Me in Portishead, Jimmer in Henbury, mrogers in Emersons Green, Murt and a few more.
  10. Didn't know these were Z related. ;)
  11. Russ, his website's changed as he's branched out a bit from just wheels. http://www.bidschoice.com I've used him a few times before and he's been very good. I've got stuff from the Japanese yahoo actions as well as Z32-zone store in Tokyo.
  12. The same iirc. MJP do them for under £30 I think.
  13. LOL, Dave, you shouldn't have edited it! Had me laughing anyway!
  14. Happy Birthday Pete! :duffer: :nana2::dance::D:smw::wack::tongue::hyper::cool:
  15. Fantastic way to promote rust! Just get them rolled professionally. StellaZ' ok as his arches are FG.
  16. Fixed! Ha!! hehe ;)
  17. You're one of those likeable guys from what I've seen, so I doubt he has a problem with you. :)
  18. I was watching Road Wars and it came on and reminded me to create a thread about it! LOL
  19. He's always online mate. Strange that he hasn't replied. Maybe he's gotten your messages and his subs have run out?
  20. Usually for me, it's something amusing. But, finding myself really liking the new Smirnoff advert. Think it's one of the best at the moment. Almost hypnotic. Really cool graphics. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9JCbeP5Fjyw
  21. Blurgh...that's ugly too. What happened to the sleak, low, sexy and exotic lines of the original? Looks more like a Laguna now! Gimmie these ANY day!...and yes, I prefer the pre-facelift ones by a light year!
  22. This could actually help increase the values of the cars. People are going to want to be buying sports cars without the added value of increased road tax. Something that our cars can get away with. :)
  23. I was going to say, I don't think there are records for imported cars, especially of that age. It'll be based on manufacture date or engine size.
  24. The guy is based in the states, but if you want discount Japanese rims from Japanese Yahoo auctions, then he'll get them sent from Japan to UK. You get some very nice wheels on there for not a lot of money. The selection of genuine quality split rims over here is poor. Japan and the US have always had a fantastic selection.
