Quavey Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 Currently sat on a side street in huddersfield, pine street i think, with my laptop on my knee in my broken van lol.... well sort of broken.. I'll start from the begining, up at the ungodly hour of 6:30 to go to a sainsburys to check on how they are doing with their new dispensing machine, all is well so thats going fairly well BUT the pharmascist in today has decided to differently to the one from yesterday and so ive got to move all the camera and fingerprint scanner.. not enough extension leads so ive gotta go find a shop that can sell me somthing at vast cost (company card not yet arrived so another thing on my card) anyway, thats scarborough overwith, half 12 ish i head off for huddersfield, and get 8 miles from where im going.. and an almighty pop of a pipe blowing of under pressure... boost hose, so i limp the thing to the sainsburys (max of 45mph arghh!) and call the RAC who have got the wrong reg number for this van HASSAL! RAC man comes and attempts to fix it, tells me its all fine so i set of to do the 2 miles to the hotel and bang, does the same again... typical. Then find out the hotel doesnt actually have parking its a pay and display accross the road PAIN! but its free after 6 so hence why im sat here typing this killing time until i can go and make a brew in my hotel room. oh and its another half 6 start tomorrow! AND ITS TOO DAMN HOT! want a new van with aircon :(! Argh rant over! Quote
zx-eyes Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 Sounds crap :( Good news though, its 6pm :nana2: Quote
BIGSSS Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 The hotel up the road from me is pay and display but if your a hotel guest you give them your ticket and they re-fund you. Whats the chances you have been sitting waiting for nothing lol. That would just add to your day. I hope tomorrow's better bud. Quote
Funkysi Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 Too hot?? You're joking right? Rarely is it too hot in the UK! LOL I gave myself the afternoon off and went for a drive in the Z today! Sorry to hear about your woes. :( Quote

Quavey Posted July 1, 2008 Author Posted July 1, 2008 ha as an update.... finally into the hotel room. BUT hotel booking website was down so they hadnt recieved my reservation... and the hotels card machine is out of action! For the love of god LOL. So they are going to put my bosses card through in another one of their hotels for now! I dont pay for carparking anyway... claim it all back, just rather not bother for the sake of sitting on the road side for 10 mins.. As for my zed, if i could get work to fund the fuel for it (as an alternative to my van...) id use when ever i could.. would be a lovely day for it today. But for an unairconditioned renault kangoo van which only had 60bhp when it was new, 5 years ago which now has no boost, wont rev above 2k and do no more than 45mph the heat is not good LOL Quote
murt Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 Shut your moaning at least you still got a job! Yep a good one it sounds like! I hate my job soo much, anyone need a computer hardware guy?? :hyper: Quote
Quavey Posted July 2, 2008 Author Posted July 2, 2008 ha, i am a computer hardware guy by original trade.... worked for a couple of shops in town for a few years and also for my school while i was there (head hunted at age 16 by the IT department hehe) But I'm also trained in fibre optics spent a year around the country terminating and splicing fibre. Ended up in some amazing places with that job, but it was long hours and stressfull Then i went into software installation training and support (CAM software for the ductwork industry - riving plasma cutters, oxy, laser and water jets). Mainly office based and no company vehicle so it did my head in and i had to run two cars - expensive New job is much the same but for a tiny piece of software which drives a methadone dispenser for use in pharmacies. So arrive on site, plug it all in, put a bottle of methadone in it and away we go :D Also back to a company vehicle again which is all good. Free travel! :D Currently sat in sainsburys cafe, pharmacist on today is pretty clued up bless her and their patients are spread accross the day from 7:00am till 11:00pm... I better start looking for a garage to reattach the boost pipes in my van lol Quote
