  1. Best attitude mate, it's not worth getting caught up in anything else. The forum is a close knit community and those that stand by what they say will always remain respected. I hope it hasn't dented your interest in the cars too much.
  2. Sad that it's ended this way Tom although it seems from what I've read on here and putting 2+2 together that you're not the only one and it's sad that a garage that once had such a good reputation now has dark clouds hanging over it. I hope they can sort themselves out and make good. Stick with it, hope either be puts you right or you get things moving with another Z garage. I've always recommended PowerZed for example as I've used Jim since he first started up - you'll never have issues there I can assure you. Have you confronted Lee over this prop shaft? Very shady it that's the case.
  3. Late 94/95 I think. They changed them from old style wet coil pintle injectors to pintleless. Early ones are crap and the coils are always charged even when the ignition is off. Not quite sure who's wondrous idea it was at Nissan to give them.a constant 12v feed, but they want their heads examined. There is a mod to swap them to a switched feed. Early style injectors break down over time......and it is only a matter of time as they will all go wrong.
  4. Not anymore he isn't.
  5. Not the UK. If you're looking for upgrades, US or Australia.
  6. One is genuine and the other might be a refurbished and tested original. It is stupid money when you consider that an entire set of brand new 740s is only about £150 more!
  7. The hint is in the title. ;)
  8. Look to seeing them later and wearing mine with pride. :D
  9. I will be fitting a set of these myself next year!
  10. He was Z1's second biggest customer only being pipped to the post by Greg Dupree of SpecialtyZ who's internationally famous. That speaks volumes!
  11. Here's the car at Jim's!
  12. I was his first ever customer and continue to use him to this day - I'm a fussy ******* too, but never think twice about taking my Z to him.
  13. Both of yours are great examples IMO and both ideal for the NEC. :)
  14. If it's dry, I might try and come along.
  15. What all over again? - - - Updated - - - Welcome back Tom. :)
  16. Totally mirror Joel's sentiment. Whilst ZX-TT's car is exceptionally well done, it's not generally the event for heavily modified cars. I also agree that that Joel's and mine are far from stock however they represent most of what the car's original essence is and that's what this event is aimed at showcasing. Not wishing to down play any one with heavily visually modified cars despite my own personal opinion, I wouldn't expect to participate in any high profile modified car events such as Modified Nationals etc. That being said, I'm still humbled and very grateful for those of you who voted and it will be an honour and a privilege to represent the club and the car and will do my utmost to present the car to the highest possible standards. It's a really really good show and I highly recommend everyone visit it, there are some really really interesting machines on display.
  17. :1eye::eek::sweatdrop::wub::online2long:
  18. If it was a Z without powered seats then no, the wiring will not be there. If you have an S1 with a powered drivers' seat then it's easier as all you need to do is a run a spur over the transmission tunnel. I managed to get a passenger connector and bit of harness from am S2 and just soldered it in in series.
  19. I have, 7 times earlier in the month!
  20. There's quite a lot of damage done by multiple poor lifts it would appear. I think it was there prior personally.
  21. So long and thanks for the mammaries!
  22. Perfect wheels! :) Genuine ones too. Does look good. Shame about that badly crushed sill return. You'd have thought he'd have gotten that fixed whilst in for paint.
  23. Welcome! Agree, the 99 bumper would look good on that as would fitting the bonnet correctly and ditch the quick release things. Looks very clean.
