  1. He can't afford a GTR yet he can afford to tear down and rebuild his clean low mileage GTS-T? A pro-GTR argument would appear obvious wouldn't it? ;)
  2. That would be the end of this website and club if that ever happened!
  3. Make sure you gag Alic before you go out. Enjoy the film! Envious!
  4. My review on spending big bucks on a GTS-T........I'd sooner have a GTR (the only Skyline to have Imo).
  5. +1 for the OEM look. Can't beat it imo. Nissan nailed the design from the get go.
  6. The differences are only as far as the length of the bulb itself. One is slightly longer than the other which reflects the depth of the globe on both JDM and Euro models. As above, they both fit and work, but it's always advisable to fit the correct one for optimum focus.
  7. Yes, that's why I posted that photo..... No I'm not too young. He was on many a program in the early 80s.
  8. .....never knew quite what to make of him to be honest. Remember him from Saturday Swap Shop RIP anyway...
  9. If only one of the matrix pipes is getting hot then your matrix may be full of sediment and you won't be getting any coolant flow through it. But I see you've replaced it, so it could be an airlock.
  10. No, they weren't all NA strictly speaking. Nissan's own Indy500 pacecar was a a Twin Turbo convertible and Straman also converted TT models to convertible. You won't find any here or in Japan though.
  11. Lots of universal tat, but somehow more appealing that the shite that's sold under the Ripspeed brand. I remember when people used to put Ripspeed stickers on their cars thinking it was cool. Bit like sticking Alba or Matsui stickers all over it!
  12. No. It was more aimed at the retro market. It's not something that's printed now, it probably went out of print around 10 years ago.
  13. You don't need to! All the part numbers with graphic depictions are here: http://nissan4u.com/parts/300zx/er_z32/1992_6/type_1/body_front_roof_and_floor/instrument_panel_and_pad_and_cluster_lid/illustration_2/
  14. No, it wasn't mainstream. Revs was as bad as Lax Power. It was a little like Practical Classics, but had engine and tuning advise. Sad when that ended print.
  15. A friend of mine in the US acheived 200mph in his Z32. Heavily modified though. I was fortunate enough to drive it, however not at those speeds. This isn't it, but here's another one. I love the fact that there's no shitty body modifications. Z32 road cars perform just right at all levels of bhp without the need to fit, big ugly bodykits and stupid cutouts. PS, Max Power was shite! A true chav mag if ever there was one. It's a shame as the really really early issues were rather good, very much a grass-roots car customisation magazine. There was another which ceased publication which was very much like the really early days of Max Poop, but I forget what it was called. Max Poop, along with Fast Car and a few others from the time represented everything that was wrong with modern society. The tabloid publications of the motoring world if you please.
  16. I bought my house brand new with no onward chain, so for me, it was an utter breeze.
  17. Wouldn't want one of these inside me either; must be painful......
  18. Nothing here at all! I am having trees put in today, lovely jubbly!
  19. Never noticed the difference in wheels. LMs up front and whatever BBS at the back. Love LMs. :D
  20. Yup: http://www.allcarpartsfast.co.uk/nissan/nissan-6826040p00-lid-cluster/ Make sure you get the screw trims too so that all the plastics match: http://www.allcarpartsfast.co.uk/nissan/nissan-6826130p00-lid/ and http://www.allcarpartsfast.co.uk/nissan/nissan-6847740p00-mask-ventilator/ http://www.allcarpartsfast.co.uk/nissan/nissan-6847840p00-mask-ventilator/
  21. I've had a couple of double din fascias over the years, Z32-Zone's re-manufactured one and Z-ThirtyTwo's complete product. The Z32-Zone one was a new remodeled example and the finish didn't last on it, it was also fragile and filler that they'd used started to craze a little. When Z-ThirtyTwo launched theirs, I bit the bullet and bought it thinking it would be much better. Well, it was and it wasn't. It looked great on the surface, but looks are only skin deep. A well made and well fitting product it was not. I did a decent enough job of managing to line it up on the dash, but it felt nasty and it was made of nothing more than 3D print glue. It was VERY brittle and again, the finish did not last on it. The brackets that were supplied were dreadful. I appreciate that it wasn't a mass produced part and there's no way any of them could have invested in an injection molding tool to produce a quality product based on the potential market but still, you're better off with a new Nissan item and fitting a single DIN head unit which was what I ended up doing. I dislike flip-out headunits intensely. A new OEM fits perfectly, the finish looks great, everything lines up and you can use the original brackets so that everything stays screwed down nicely with no rattle or vibration. Give your clock a really good polish before you refit, makes a huge difference. I also found that having a touch screen system in the Z was awkward also. There's quite a stretch to reach it and without easy-to-see tactile buttons, it was more a pain in the ass than anything. Furthermore, if you're driving with the tops off or the blinds out, it creates so much glare that you can barely see a thing. I don't use SatNav in my Z all that much, I either navigate by map, which, when touring is a far nicer way to do it as you know where and what you're driving through. SatNav takes the fun out of 'fun' driving. I have SatNav on my phone if I really need it. The system I ended up buying was a top spec Alpine single din headunit with bluetooth connectivity. I can link my phone straight to it and have a flush fitting mic. I prefer it heaps over the double din alpine that I used to have. I had a fairly custom interior before, with aftermarket steering wheel, full custom leather, aftermarket centre console with double din head unit, a sub and amp in the boot. I've never been happier than when I ripped it all out and went back to something a little more 'factory'. It looks better, feels better, IS better. :) Just my 2 penneth.
  22. A: You must have been in some pretty miserable examples. Unfortunately there is a lot more universal and cheap tat for the Z32, but with either good stock suspension or correct aftermarket suspension, it's no creaky tug boat whatsoever. Many examples have been run on a shoestring; not really the car's fault. B: I think (this is pure conjecture however) that a VG30DETT with a decent exhaust sounds a much more exotic and distinct than the RB motor, again unfortunately there were many systems for the Z that just don't sound good, again, not really the car's fault. The GTST for me is an 'also ran'. Doesn't look or sound as nice as a GTR. It's the XR3i of the mid-90s Escort range; a bit cheap, a bit cheerful, a little nasty, everyone wants the full bodied and worthy Cosworth. The GTST is also a favourite of the drifting crowd and immediately that's where my interest completely dwindles. ;)
