  1. Go for it! Gimme a buzz tomorrow evening.
  2. You must have gone to Kraftwork! :) A fabulous choice!
  3. **with a brand new genuine OEM one....
  4. The very last weatherstrip that I haven't replaced yet. Mine is actually in very good condition however I'm worried that it may have shrunk a bit and collapsed. Something I noticed when I fitted my new door and roof seals was just how much extra pressure is needed to close the doors and secure the targas. The reason I ask is that over rough road surfaces, my boot does rattle and vibrate a little. I have adjusted the catch as far as it will go, fitted new boot rubbers and checked the location points for the hinges, the condition and operation of the gas struts and all is in order. If anyone has replaced their boot seals, did you notice things were a little quieter? I'd imagine they're likely to be.
  5. I can hardly blame them; sorry dude, that's just awful! Looks like something you'd find discarded on the Blackpool pleasure beach.
  6. Mondo, you are WEAK!
  7. I'm actually thinking about changing my user name anyway, but not to that!
  8. Appreciate the history behind the nomenclature, but I can't stand 'Fairlady'; all trace of it has been removed from my car and thankfully it's not on the V5 either! The Japanese have always made a terrible job of naming their cars with Nissan in particular being the worst culprit. Cherry, Bluebird and Sunny are by far the worst that we got in England. Sunny was replaced by Almera which is as dull as the car and then by Pulsar which sounds exciting (harking back to the excited by strangely styled GTi-R) but again, a very dull vehicle which was only really built and sold for accounting reasons. A car for people that don't really like cars and until we get the highly anticipated 'Nismo' version, it will remain one of the blandest cars Nissan has ever created.
  9. Something else I've noticed is that people will often choose a place solely based on the price. This is often a complete falsehood; for a business to remain profitable and viable and have the capitol to invest in growth, parts and other sundries it needs to charge a proportionate sum. A place might offer a cheaper price for a number of reasons other than trying to be competitive, either they are running the company on a shoestring, aren't doing the work as agreed, using cheap poor quality components or a combination of the lot. Over the years, this has happened with South West Zed, Zedtech, seemingly now LA Autos and a number of others. Ultimately you'll get yourself into a cashflow crisis and that is when things start to take a downward spiral. I believe those that have survived have got at least an ounce of business acumen and have the ability to do honest top-rate work plus good customer service and I'd sooner support that any day of the week.
  10. Interesting car the President. I have seen one on the road, but quite a long time ago. I prefer the slightly smaller Cedric personally.
  11. Jimmer (PowerZed) and ALWAYS has. I've used him for nigh on 13 years and would never take it to another 'specialist'. Not only is he a fully qualified and trained mechanic and engineer, he has a wealth of knowledge, will only use genuine/high quality components, never cuts corners, takes pride in everything he does and is a good honest bloke. A lot of these 'fly by the seat of their pants' folks are either running their business on an absolute shoestring, have a shady existence or have little qualification and no back up or a combination of the lot. Granted, things go wrong in all lines of business, they always have and always will, but it's how you deal with them and how professional you are that will split the good from the chaff.
  12. Bloody hell, that was hard work to read and understand. Some punctuation might help as I nearly died of asphyxiation! ;) In essence, you paid for work that he hadn't done? Sad to see the amount of problems now coming to light, the list goes on.
  13. Glad you did! Bullet/crimp connectors are a bad and lazy idea for external wiring!
  14. Ex forum car from Dorset. Glad those horrific wheels are going! Well done on the purchase and looking forward to seeing it de-chaved! :)
  15. http://www.300zx.org.uk/model_variations.htm
  16. Ah! I thought you meant that after checking out a blue one in south London you went and bought one! My bad! Looks good, just need to get those cheapo ebay rear lights removed and fit some original lights or 99-spec. :)
  17. That'll be AndrewG's then, beautiful example. Welcome to the forum! You're not too far from JoelyP.
  18. There are plenty of car parks there, just turn up and pay on the day.
  19. Completely the opposite, we're there for the duration to talk about them with people visiting the stand.
  20. I think Joel, Craig, Richard and myself are......
