  1. Original is better if it's sealed from new as it fits and is the right shape. :)
  2. This. Unfortunately all the replicas I've seen are out of shape and don't fit correctly. Better than a spoiler with all the paint missing though.
  3. You can drive a car on what's known as a 'temporary registration' in the US whereby you do not need licence plates, it is possible and not that difficult to arrange with the DMV. Appreciate it probably wouldn't be possible in Europe. - - - Updated - - - That is an original by the looks of it.
  4. Yeah that's quite long winded! Didn't fancy flying to the US, driving it from Chicago to Miami and then Rotterdam to your home town?
  5. PS, convertibles looks so much nicer with the TT spoiler on them, even if that one is a replica spoiler.
  6. How much is the cost of shipment? I'd probably have opted for PCC over container, but I expect it's cheaper in a container.
  7. They were commissioned by "The Ministry of Crap Design". The same people who brought you metal teapots with metal handles.
  8. I have about as much interest in the F&F franchise as I did the tracing paper toilet roll they had in my halls of residence toilets at university. That's probably why I had no idea what it meant. In answer to the question, no. Drifting is about as appealing as the empty card cylinder from the aforementioned roll of tracing paper toilet roll.
  9. Eeeeeeek!! That's cringe worthy. Hope you get it all fixed up. :)
  10. Best get started on it! :) I think to fit that style of round lights, part of the aperture of the original light frame had to be cut out. Pure butchery.
  11. I disagree. The way it flares out at the back and those strangle winglets that hang down - I think that bumper extension is a bit of an awkward mess.
  12. I use RPA in Bristol. Really good quality and not expensive.
  13. ...the VG was fitted to the Maxima transversely.
  14. That's the first version. They made 2 models of MID-4, the second generation had mounted longitudinally. Transmissions were mostly custom from what I know. I believe the transmission in the original shared many components with a number of other AWD Nissans.
  15. Looks awesome, I can't wait! Will take in Fairlady Pro shop on that same day as its only half an hour by car. Going there with one of the Falcon Z Club members Aiming to go to Tokyo Nissan, Nissan HQ and NISMO HQ.
  16. Yeah that's not always possible however and is all in Japanese. Spaces are very limited.
  17. Awesome! Just had my visit to Nissan's DNA Heritage museum approved by one of the senior bosses at Nissan. This isn't open to the public and you usually have to get special permission to be allowed to visit. I'll get to see some interesting and wonderful machinery like this. R390 MID-4 ....and just an awesome assortment of Nissan race cars. I believe there are a number of 'brand new' Z32s there also.
  18. I'm gradually going through my underside, well, just the suspension components and have had almost all of them done. Stripped, blasted, powder coated a satin black and new NISMO bushes all round. Everything that's been refitted has been used using brand new OEM fasteners. Does make a difference although my underside was rust-free and in extremely good order, I just wanted the suspension components to look super fresh. I'm sure they'd have gone up nicely if I'd given them a deep clean with a tooth brush and some APC however as I was replacing the bushes, I thought I'd get it all refreshed with a much more durable coating anyway.
  19. Dude, go take a dump or something useful!
  20. Early UK cars (Euro tweed) was called 'Monaco Cloth'. I'm afraid I only have an early UK catalogue. UK cars didn't come with velour, so for something comprehensible, the name of that one is probably best sourced from US sources.
  21. Happy birthday dude. Hope you had a good one. Push as much food and drink into your face as possible!
