Popular Zeds and where they are now
That was a very nicely done car that one. Never that sure on the wheels, but it was a nice car.

Mmmmmm yeah, that is horrible. :turned:

I remember that erm.....creation. It had RX-8 rear lights from memory. Looks like a rabbit hutch from the front.

The first wide arch I ever remember properly was Alan (gruntpa64). Pretty sure that was originally a PPS produced car. Alan was a good chap too. Changed hands a couple of times since, here's a recent photo of it.

Incorrect, I think you're getting confused with PaulC's which I quite liked. - - - Updated - - - You're thinking of silver streak. That car was broken ages ago and was a LWB.

Popular Zeds and where they are now
Taken about 11 or 12 years ago. My Z in pretty much the same state it came off the boat in (so glad that bronze glass and tweed has gone) and Zogg's car. From memory we got them about the same time. It doesn't have the ABFlug front bumper here unfortunately, but if anyone has the Ross on Wye meet pics, it should there from a few years previous. I think that meet was 2005.

Wonder if Zogg still has his ABFlug kitted shortie. Never looked quite as good after that coming together with a Ferrari and he had to replace the ABFlug front bumper with some horrible fibreglass thing.

Popular Zeds and where they are now
It was sold to a chap not too far from me for a while and I remember seeing it randomly at a pub somewhere in Somerset one summer. Lee7star (ex trader) bought it and owned it for a while about 10 years ago, had it repainted and fitted 99-spec rear lights and a few other things. It has since vanished from the forum.

2018 mot rules and HID,S
Nothing on JDM cars is e-marked. If you look on UK head light glass, there's an e-mark on them which doesn't appear on Japanese versions. If we tested the car purely based on whether equipment fitted to it was e-marked, all JDM cars would fail automatically.

Just as spurious as the 'rules'.

2018 mot rules and HID,S
Incorrect. The globes in the HID 99 spec headlights are different. They're much bigger for starters and have a beam-cutoff.....sure, Mr MOT man probably wouldn't know this!

Rear light opinions - big ass car
Too tacky. I've seen this thing in action and just thought 'why'?

2018 mot rules and HID,S
I'll do as I do for my fog light, just fit halogens for MOT only. I'm sure what they're likely to do is just to fail obvious stuff like Billy Bolt On with his Halfords kitted Ford Fiesta with 10000k HIDs in his standard reflector headlights with its associated and ultra tacky blueness and excessive glare. Not sure they'd notice a 4000k in a projector lens one quite as match.

I forgot about that!

No, no Z32 came with mesh in the bumpers. Ditch it. :)

Hi iwant to adjust my came gears
Your idle is controlled by both your idle control valve and your TPS. Make sure those are adjusted. You shouldn't need to adjust the timing gear for idle.

Oi, less of the attitude. If you can't be bothered to write a legible sentence......

What did you do to your zed today?
My Merc has a space saver too. I did actually get a puncture and used the inflator kit in the car with the white goo in the bottle and it actually sealed it up totally. Wouldn't risk it in the Z though although I did take the pump and goo out of the Merc to take with me on the Euro road trip, but kept my stock spare with me too.

I am only talking about hacking up the wheel not the car. What is the rolling radius of the stock space saver vs the GTR one? You can get different sizes space saver tyres which might help.

My daughter calls it Toothless the Dragon: My ‘95 TT Z
Looking great Nick! :) So nice to see the Z come of age and getting the quality attention to restoring them to high quality that they deserve rather than nailing bits of fibreglass and poo to them in a feeble attempt to try to make it look better. Good work!

What I'm thinking about Joel is getting one from a Qashqai or that GTR one and taking the centre out and having it welded further inside the wheel barrel so that it all fits flush inside the boot recess.
