  1. 4300k are close to OEM emission and are brighter than most of the more common colour ranges such as 6000k. 6000k is pretty good, anymore and you get light degradation and a crappy blue light. 4300k are probably the brightest of all colour ranges. :)
  2. After having LED lights on some external aspects I've decided to go back to incandescent bulbs. I'll keep my remaining interior LEDs...I think and certainly I'll be getting Groover to install them all in my dash and pods. However, I find that the blue hue emitted from 'super white' conventional LED replacement blubs such as the 501 bulbs found in the sidelights and number plate illumination looks decidedly 'boyracer-ish'. I'm also removing the 6000k HIDs I fitted about 6 years ago and replacing them with 4300k - again (in my brand new headlights), MUCH less of a blue hue and should give better light output, much whiter and shouldn't clash too much with the regular incandescent sidelight bulbs. I was having a conversation with JoelyP the other day and he's removed his LED number plate light illumination and reverted back to incandescent bulbs where white illumination is present. Now gone is the slightly chavy blue-hue illumination reminiscent of undercar neons! lol Anyone else moving away from external white LED bulbs?
  3. You have misread. You do not need to do anything.
  4. That's cause they're horrible!!!!  Your car's way of telling you not to fit them! Glad you haven't fitted them to your red Z Del! :D
  5. I saw this under the cover at Jimmer's a few days ago. It gave me lots of naughty thoughts. :D
  6. So thinks it's cheeeeesy!! :D
  7. Not exactly! It was out by a few hundred miles! lol
  8. I had an early set of UK clocks fail on me. I was fortunate enough to be able to find another set of UK clocks that matched my converted KM distance. Much of this has already been said; the main reason for me Mike and those who have the older cars, more so the TT is because firstly the speed at which the HICAS operates. The ECU uses the feed from the speedo to estimate PAS sensitivity and HICAS actuation. If you're using a speedo converter to ratio down the needle, then it will have an effect on the PAS and the HICAS. In addition, the early stock faces are bland, it's a much better conversion to do the UK clock swap and, as Joel suggested, the turbo pressure measurement. I think if I had a 99 spec with the white dials, I'd leave them as they are, especially on an NA where it's less important, but on an early TT model, I would always try and fit the UK speedo cluster.
  9. What is that black surround? Is it some form of strange ZIF connector?
  10. Hahahahahah!
  11. No, that's fine dude. I have different callipers to fit, needed to know the combined dimension and the bolts are a different pitch. I have the calliper with me. Thanks, I really appreciate it! :D
  12. Not sure on rad capacity, but the stock system takes 10 litres.
  13. I remember you! Didn't you buy your car with a friend and then one or other of you spend some time at her majesty's pleasure? Good to see you back, I remember the car too, pearl white 2+2 TT iirc?
  14. Oh damn! I don't know! lol....I have a stock radiator..... :( Pooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
  15. Feels like I'm about to lose my virginity all over again! Never thought I'd get so excited about a set of wheels, but they're my dream wheels and always have been! :D
  16. Appreciate that! :) I'm not at home at the moment to measure mine and want to get some bolts on my way back.
  17. They reached the bottom of their depreciation curve about 5 years ago. They're now at post 10 year values - not changed much, but they are out of the bottom of the bin. Agree with everything else. :)
  18. I've driven through Dublin a few times - it is nuts every day of the week! lol Wheels now cleared customs! They'll be with me Monday! :D .....but I won't be home. Must try to do something about that!
  19. Part of me wants to do that, the rest of me hates the M4 on a Friday! lol
  20. Can anyone who has a front hub assembly to hand measure the thickness of the assembly where the calliper bolts go? Thanks! :)
