  1. I'd LOVE to help 'remove' that kit by the way!! :D
  2. Glad you're going to be saving it! Good luck with it. Time to break out the hammer and chisel! :D
  3. Yup, that's your HICAS outer joint. It's pressed into the rear knuckle, so you'll need to take the whole assembly out for it to be put in a press. There's also a seal cover on the back end (you might be able to reuse them). They are a genuine Nissan-only part. If your hex nut gets damaged on removal, then you'll need to order that separately as this is not supplied with the ball joint itself.
  4. In the process of ordering some new wheels....I 'think'. Should know by the end the weekend....
  5. Hold off on the booze Richard! :)
  6. Mmm..that's cool. I always thought AC pump refurbishment was really costly!
  7. The GT-R concept looked horrid. The production version looks so much better. The most extreme however, this, believe it or not was the original prototype for what would become the 350z....as you can see, vile!
  8. How much did it cost for your AC pump to have its bearings replaced Gary?
  9. I've seen the real thing in the flesh! :D
  10. HUGE transformation - looks SOOOOOO much better! Well done! :)
  11. Unless you're excessively lowered, the stock arms have some adjustability. Unless you're going to be tracking your Z, I'd personally avoid solid bushings at all cost.
  12. I am convinced it's because of modern processed food AND life stress that the human body has yet to be able to adapt to.
  13. Yes....and no, not sorted. Frequent showers and high toilet roll consumption are how I deal with it. Like a typical man, I never have been to get it checked out. Tell a lie, I have, I was asked to give blood samples and poo into a little tube. I can't cope with having blood taken; last time this happened, I passed out at the wheel of my car due to system pressure drop and ended up spending the rest of my day with my head down the toilet. I haven't given them turd samples as I've always done the turd....or slop before I've had time to go grab cling film for the toilet to catch it! When you have IBS, when you gotta go, you HAVE TO GO! Strangely though, I haven't taken a dump in 4 days. So that's getting slightly concerning. I've been doing a lot of flying lately and whenever I fly, my guts just come to a complete standstill.
  14. "Time for your first real-man's shave"
  15. Good job you don't have caravan lights and a ginger top too!
  16. Agreed, if ever these was more of a reason NOT to paint your wheels black, that car would be that reason.
  17. Mine is indeed an Ionic Dynamics 99-spec made from carbon fibre. I bought it 7 or 8 years ago and collected it from Jose of Ionic Dynamics as I was in San Diego at the time. I ordered the carbon fibre one by accident and couldn't really be bothered to return it for the price difference, which, at the time was minimal. The beauty of the Ionic Designs' replicas is that the moulds are taken directly from the original, unlike quite a few that are made over here which are copies of copies and they lose their shape. Anyway, despite the workmanship being excellent, I have never have been one that's found carbon fibre an awesome thing to look at, it's a great material, but aesthetically, it does nothing for me, especially on cars as old as the Z32 unless it's a full track inspired weapon.....so I got it painted. My car is also used on Ionic Dynamics' website. http://www.ionicdynamics.com/300zxnew2.html Here's mine before I had it painted. You can see how long ago it was taken by the phones on the bed...and those awful bed covers!!
  18. How about 'no'? My suitcase is already full of new OEM nuts and bolts that Z1 handed to me at Branson Z Fest!
  19. Well I run them on my car. Those who I know who have them have said nothing but positive things about them.
  20. First and foremost, get the Z1 Street FUCAs and their new adjustable tension rods. That will fix the inset appearance of your front wheels quite dramatically then you can assess what poke you'll need. I advise against solid bushings like you'd find on Powertrix systems and SPL systems. The Midori style camber and tension componets are simply not required for UK roads and are only suitable if you intend on having an overly firm and uncompromising ride, basically, avoid unless you intend to spend a lot of time with it on the track.
  21. What springs have you got and have you got adjustable camber arms?
  22. I rolled my arch lips myself. Only did the very top. Take your time and they'll come out fine. The majority of cases, you'll only need to do the lips anyway.
  23. ......wheel specs will be stamped onto the rear of one of the spokes or hub face.
  24. Better, but I would certainly have kept the tacky wording and logo off of it and I would have gone for 3/4 sized. Had mine on for a decade amd never had a single word mentioned of it. Spacers would really help, both front and rear. Rear needs about a 10mm poke and the front about a 20mm.
