  1. I would be in if I am free
  2. Nice one thanks! Will check it all out tomorrow in that case.
  3. ***Update*** - a rusty hole found near a structural part of the chassis!!.... This does not look good. doesn't seem to go all the way yet but this can't be good. Seems to have started where the arch lining was bolted to the chassis. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hNf3yOxLi90&feature=youtu.be Hello so i have developed a loud creaking on the passenger side suspension. It is either the top mount on the shock, or the control arm... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S8t4YYchmPw&feature=youtu.be I have lubed up the arm with white lithium grease, and also undone the front of the arm, added grease and done it back up to no avail.. Any thoughts? Is this typical of a failed bearing perhaps in the control arm? if so does anyone have a spares I can buy? I can take it off tomorrow but worried it might be somethign else... here is another vid... this noise is soooooo bad!!! on the plus side, the exhaust is nice.
  4. I like them :p they are the colour and style I want
  5. Haha! Those wheels though.. mmmmm
  6. How come replacing the elbows would make it spool faster?.. Is there that much difference between the designs?
  7. Just to update, couldnt be happier with the new setup! Have driven around 300 miles and no sign of smoke what so ever so fingers crossed tubs are sound. The sound has a small rasp at around 2k, but then when you open it us the Veilside comes alive and sounds brilliant! Great presence :D
  8. Yeah fair enough. there are some that work better than others - I think the best suited is the bride stradia II but man are they expensive! And yeah unless you buy new there is now way to guarantee they are genuine. The recaros are more OEM but I find the ones with the evo x are a bit too pointy for the Z32
  9. I am biased but I think some of the composite bride seats look ace and can help modernise the cabin. Akin to some of the porsche GT2/3 style interiors.
  10. loving the updates Dan! Look forward to seeing it in the flesh one day
  11. I have had some similar issues when I had a Vac leak from my recirc valve (Jeff actually replaced it). Sounds very similar!
  12. Yeah elbows back :D Alic, no probs. Drop me a message if you need anything. It is ALL about the right sockets and the technique for removing them. Get yourself a dremel so you can sand off the rust on the studs as that is what makes them break. - - - Updated - - - You are not far from me so happy to lend a hand if you need
  13. Welcome! nice loooking Z! interested to see more
  14. Went for a spin and definitely feels like it pick up quicker and sounds very different! Will leave it a while before i decide if i prefer it, but think i do. No smoke either so far!
  15. not yet! It started raining just as I finished ha ha ... really excited!
  16. yeah, it kept going through my head how brutal it woudl be to get crushed by it. Of course I have it on Jack stands and a couple of trolley jacks as well but you know
  17. I think I will take it to a garage to sort that bolt, I am tired of laying under the car haha
  18. With Cats: [video=youtube_share;LRgvfpYGdjs] With decat: [video=youtube_share;kJ8aCrVxYf8] Difference is noticeable but subtle i think. looking forward to seeing what happens to the sound under load!
  19. Thanks for the help guys!! Relly couldn't have done it without the advice here. It was a success!! I have left only two bolts on one of the downpipes as a bolt sheared, but will be okay hopefully.. After 2 days of laying under the car feeling claustrophobic as hell, it is done and I am so chuffed. It feels like it revs a bit quicker, and sounds awesome!! No smoke as of yet.... I cut the cat temp sensors so hopefully that won't come and bite me in the ass. Video to come :)
  20. Thanks for the tip on the drill :) Can I just cut the cat temp sensor wires? Those are well and truly rusted! They dont even resemble bolts anymore, just a pile of rust! Will it throw any codes or lights on the dash if I cut it? Progress today, 4 bolts off, just 1 sheared as the corrosion was too far gone, so to prevent that on the last I am going to dremel the stud shaft with a wire sander. Hopefully then the nut wont get stuck. - - - Updated - - - Thanks for the tip on the drill :) Can I just cut the cat temp sensor wires? Those are well and truly rusted! 21. I would have though that amount of heat would make the old bolts weak and brittle?
  22. Great idea! I was tempted to dye my tweed when I had it, but got rid instead.
  23. I dont have decent lamp available but hopefully this will work out!
  24. So all 3 of passenger side are loose now (one off completely) and have left driver side to soak overnight! Stephen bit worried you keep saying the turbo bolts... I was thinking that the decat is only replacing this elbow back pipe, not the turbo down? :s worried now.
