  1. I dont think we have anythgin planned in Nov but the later dates work better as work is super busy at the beginnign of nov
  2. I reckon you would be hard pushed to get enough traction on the rear wheels with a v6 lump in the front. I used to have a robin caterham replica kit thing with a 2L pinto engine and that was very tail happy! - - - Updated - - - ... but the thought has crossed my mind a few times haha
  3. Welcome to the club mate. Open the bonnet and near the radiator you will have your chassis plate with a colour code. Mine is blue and is TK3. Why does the detailer need to know the paint code? I thought they would just use various cutting compounds and wax after a clay bar over the panels to remove the baked on dirt. Regards, William.
  4. Thank ali. Haha they used to be a deep blue, but mondo warned me and I never got around to getting uv protection on them. Yeah really didnt last long haha! It was an old nubuk leather, but the alcantara will never fade.
  5. Interior back together and alcantara covered. Going to do the rear panels soon too. Now I desperately need to get on with those seat cushions
  6. Thank ali. Also is your car an import? I would be interested in getting the headlight bulbs from you if they still work? Mainly dipped beam
  7. Yeah could have been worse. 7 years without a fault incident so guess it isnt to bad. Now as for missing the brake this does worry me, as it isnt the second time I have done that in the zed. There Is a good 3inch gap between the accelerator and brake so I am thinking It might be time to some larger aftermarket pedals. Nothing garish but just bigger!
  8. So I had to drive to work yesterday as i was working in reading instead of central london. This has happened about 3 times in the year I have been here, usually I am on the train. So nice chance to drive the car mid week. Sat in stop start traffic somehow I managed to drive my baby into the back of a 4x4 :'( I looked at a new shop which had opened for 2 seconds too long as we started to pull away, and the fella in front stopped after moving only a cars length. When i looked forward I had a few feet but somehow I missed the brake pedal!!?? I am still trying to work out how it happened but I am so annoyed at myself. So his new 4x4 had some snapped plastic, but i have only shoved the bumper on the zed. I think a couple of brackets have bent slightly as the headlight seems slightly inset, but being so low I kind of went under him. The only reason im not mortified is that I I I 99 spec bumper I the shed waiting to be sprayed, but it will be a black mark against my protected no claims. Drove to reading and back and she seemed fine so i am hoping it is cosmetic. Sigh....
  9. interested dependant on dates and prices!
  10. I can bring a dremel over for the bolts if you need, but wont be until next week now.
  11. Beauty! Is that a tt?
  12. Oh crap thats not good news. What machine do you use? If you were closer I would lend you my Singer 211. Can it not be repaired? I had to have some maintenance done on my a while ago but the cost was pretty cheap.. then again the old singers are all mechanical apart from a new servo motor, I imagine the newer machines might have more technology in them making for a more expensive repair?
  13. Fit a new camber arm tonight and hopefully cured the awful creaking sound!! Although one of the bearings on the second arm in totally seized so think that is being returned!
  14. Bride Gias reclining bucket seats. Really comfy and sit you a bit lower than stock...
  15. After some help from Ali last night and his breaker car today I have fixed the drivers door lock WOHOO! and also the window is workgin again oddly enough. think there is a corroded wire as it starts working as long as I move the wires up higher.... coudl be a loose connection somewhere. Also the interior is just waiting for passenger door cards to finish the black alcantara, and then to redo the seat cushions in black. Good week all in all...
  16. I would be interested to find out too. Looked like a nice car and was tempted to purchase it myself haha
  17. Looks like a great event guys!! Shame I missed it - Make it a regular and I will be there next time :D
  18. hello all, so my drivers door appears to have been repaired at some point when it was in Japan and it is starting to show signs of rusting near the sill. Both doors also have a number of car park dents. Also the front passenger side arch has a burn through from where someone has tried to respray a scratch so perhaps that can be replaced too.... Anyone have a breaker going?
  19. Oh really that's interesting. I guess I havent done leather panel work yet so this just felt like a nice change from sewing! The seats have cushion inserts with I am chancing for a black alcantara as the blue has faded as you guessed haha. Dont mind that I have it a go but on to alcantara in a black for those too, but keeping the black leather surround for the seats. Wanted to keep the style really sleek and simple which is why I chose deep black, but I am worried that the pleather on the panels is too faded and dull looking compared to the alcantara :s
  20. Attempted to cover my drivers door card in Alcantara this evening. Pretty happy with how nice the alcantara is to work with, but I think I might prefer a charcoal rather than this deep black... Will test fit tomorrow and see! Thoughts??
  21. Yeah looks like a sounds base car - wondering about the map on it, when/where it was done. Doesn't have a Stillen plaque under the wing mirror switch. Wonder how much it will go for......
  22. Hello all. I am likely buying one of these from Z1 this week. https://conceptzperformance.com/z1-key-cylinder-door-lock-actuator-replacement-nissan-300zx-90-96-z32-z1-80550_p_8365.php The postage is the same price as the part so I was wondering if anyone else was interested in having one shipped over at the same time to split the postage costs? sorry if this is not the right place for this. regards, William.
  23. Ahh man so I have just taken it off and found a massive rusty hole near where the control arms bolts to the chassis. Also I wasn't able to take apart the arm so will just try and get a new one. When I rotated the bearings you could feel a binding spot on one of them which felt as though it was moving over a small lump. I imagine this is why the problem was intermittent as some days it wouldn't happen so it just depends on whether the bearing was at that binding point. Really hoping that was teh case and that it isn't structural...... Need to find a welder in south london now if anyone knows of one?? That isn't a hobby I wish to learn :D On the plus side I have stopped the noise for now with a hella lot of grease on the bolt and bearing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hNf3yOxLi90&feature=youtu.be
  24. Hello, Anyone have a camber arm adjustable or fixed laying around as the bearing has gone in mine and I can't get it apart so it is probably easier to just get a new arm. Regards, W
