Yep AVG is best for home user. Norton AV is a bit crap and like a lot of the big name ones it can suck up system resources, Norton can use around 40MB in total which is nuts.

I saw a metallic brown convertible one last week, looked good. In our greyer climate more vibrant colours can look a bit odd. But if you go to calafornia that has great sunshine cars with wacky colours look quite cool.

Use the 'Search' option at the top right of these forums and enter search words like 'HICAS'. There is a mountain of of infomation on how to do stuff like remove HICAS and often with photos.

Seems like another Ford case of death by foucus group. Im sure the original design by the car designer was awesome but Ford watered and watered it down so the exterior looks naff. Interior is great though.

Dell do good laptops at very good prices. My work laptop is a Inspiron 9300 - 17" screen (1900x1200 rez) and decent gfx for games :) Its great though the quality could be a touch better. Cost £1400 9 months ago. So i guess you could get a similar one at £1200 now. Oh yeah battery life is 90 mins tops. Hence why i got a 2nd battery. The laptop in a bag with all my gubbings really hurts my shoulder if i carry it around for more than 15 mins. So its more of a mobile workstation than a true laptop.

I was doing well keeping the choccie count down then i joined my current company where we have a biccie barrel which is always well stocked - im doomed!

When i imported my zed through Group 20 (who have ceased trading, sales guy said it was too stresfull) they gave me a 6 month warranty with my zed. Which gave me serious peace of mind. And paid £380 towards the cost of getting a new clutch fitted. What Group 20 did is give me a list of zeds in Japanese auctions, there was about 6 a week - plenty!, i set a max price - £5800 for everything. I missed a couple but got my red SWB TT one in wine red. When i drove down to Southampton with pop to pick it up my jaw nearly fell off when i saw it all washed and prepared for me. Love at first sight :)

I brought a crap power washer from Halfrauds that didnt work so i have been using jet wash's at petrol stations. I found out yesterday that Morrisons supermarkets do good jet wash's for only 25p a minute. a 5 minute job for £1.25 really cleaned up my zed with a nice shine :)

I was impressed when i saw how big the ECU thing was. If its big its clever :)

Funny, but total crap lol. Drinking good water is very healthy. I drink lots though it makes me pee a lot. But if ye pee and its clear you doing fine :)

I saw this rare convertible zed outside a 2nd hand car dealership near Fazely, Tamworth. This garage has sold zed's before - at like £2500 - eeeeek!

Yeah there is a 'Chase bank', 'ebay', and 'Paypal' email scams too. They send a email with exactly the same format and layout as the real thing. The IP's of the dodgey websites i have clobbered a few times with IP packet floods and other hacker methods. Most of them use Russian or Chinese Internet Service Providers. Scumbags!

I love the look of my zed in wine red. I hate the headlights power, bloody awfull. Handling in the wet is dire but its a RWD car so hey goes with the territory. Overall i am very smitten with my zed :)

I hope to do some stopwatch thing with my carputer and Conzult for 0-60's. My big problem accelerating fast is i often miss the change from 2nd to 3rd gear duh. I have a Jap TT SWB so i would expect it to get 5.0 seconds for sure :wack:

Same for me :) Thanks to fellow Zedders i have got my crashed ZX repaired quickly and for not a huge amount of money. I have fitted a new clutch slave unit, HICAS lights, understood Conzult and this week fit new steering bushes thanks to the help of others. I feel like i am a true sports car enthusiast - i drive one and love it and i can service it too :smash:

Sounds a peculiar device. All DVD writers and other CD\DVD drives should work with standard Windows 2000\XP drivers without having to download something extra.

How about using pure oxygen as a boost for more powerfull combustion with titanium engine block and head for strength. My work will make that for you for about £200k :P

Ive had the simple idea of using some sort of compressor to squirt more air into the combustion area. But this one seems to be independent of the crank and revs. Seems crap that ebay thing. Ive had bangers and removed the air filter before their demise in the scrap yard. Engines revved more but torque or whatever you call it was worse.

My engine - jap TT ran a little rough when i used BP Ultimate. Might be coicidence but engine is sweet as running Optimax.

Getting some from Smithy's as i suspect my steering bushes are shot. How do i remove the tension rod and whack on the bushes?
