No blood anywhere ! Did he survive ? My mate used to work in a salvage yard and they were always pulling teeth and stuff out of dashes and steering wheels.........

I know that the wheels on a Z are directional - and I seem to remember reading that they aid brake cooling or something like that. If that's true then why didn't they make two for one side and two for the other that were 'reversed' so that they all did the same job ? Surely at the moment one side is benefiting from the wheel's effect and the other is not.... Is it just uneconomical to produce a true matched set - ie two and two ? XR3's had the same thing (showing my age here) as did countless other cars. I think even if you are buying an expensive after-market directional alloy you still get only one direction which of course is 'wrong' on one side'. Mark

Having had a real blast on a track I'm of a mind to get the engine rebuilt to make sure that I don't get any nasty surprises. So........ Standard spec rebuild ? How much ? Who could do this ? Up-grade spec ? Same questions....... Is it worth replacing the turbos if I do this ? They are getting on a bit I suppose :D I'm planning to up-grade the suspension and brakes anyway. What else ? Clutch ? I know a lot of this is 'how long is a piece of string stuff' so I should mention that I haven't won the lottery or anything. As always, all comments are gratefully received. Mark

HKS do a 6 speed box for the Z32 - £4,500 I think plus tax and shipping and God knows what else.

How does using the original calipers etc compare to an AP Racing disc/caliper kit ? Is the AP kit really worth another £1200 ? Mark

Is that option just the discs and uses the original calipers etc ?

Guys Are these available for a J-spec TT ? I imagine that the ones on US-eBay are no good because of the speedo etc. Any alternatives ? Unique Autosports in Australia have one but it's got a 300kph speedo...... Mark

Mark I spoke to him about that conversion and got the impression that he really relished all the work involved. Like you say he considers that Z to be such a well engineered car that it's a pleasure to work on. Top bloke !! Mark

And looking at that engine bay it would appear that it used to be silver. Stu was Cerina's factory blue or another colour ? Was Bayside Blue offered in Japan as a factory colour anyone?

If that's who I think you mean then he's excellent. Doesn't rush and gets it right. Did my last service, new brakes, new prop shaft etc. And amazing value too !! Of course that's all a bit academic if we're not talking about the same bloke :D
