I bought some of these from Mastergrade in the US. $220 plus $69 shipping. Another eBay vendor. I think duty and VAT was about £30. And they are very nice ! Straight swap ! Mark

John I spent months trying to fix a leak in the driver side. I tried everything I could think of then found that the seal between the glass of the t-top and the body-coloured piece above the side window (not sure if that's a good description) had perished. I re-sealed it with some black rubber sealant from Halfords and HEY PRESTO !! SORTED !! Just a thought............. Mark

Please don't take this as gospel but I'm pretty sure that you can avoid all those dreaded extras if you get the stuff described by the sender as 'refurbished seconds' or 'used' and declare the value for customs purposes as nil. Worth checking out ! Of course we're all buying refurbished seconds and used officer :D

My son wants to start driving shortly when he turns 17. He wants to use the Z but obviously that's out of the question.......for several reasons :D I've been hunting around and getting anywhere between £4.5k and £2k for a Seat Arosa (Grp3) or similar (VW Polo etc). I don't want to get him a complete sh*tter - anyone have any suggestions ? Apart from 'Get the bus' :D Mark

Right first off - my HICAS and speedo seem to have fixed themselves. All it needed was a top up of fluid and disconnected the battery for a moment. So - out for a blast this afternoon and was joining the M25 at Jct 10 (A3) heading for Heathrow. I gunned it down the on-ramp and the thing did the BIGGEST fish tale slidey moment I've ever experienced !! ALL OVER THE PLACE ! And I was going in a straight line !! It scared the sh*t out of me and I guess all the other cars nearby as everyone backed right off me ! My heart is still in my mouth an hour or more later........ Mark

1st of the New Year and the first problem !! Out for a blast this morning and the speedo jumps from 70 mph (ish) to off the clock at 200mph and stays there. Even when stopped or switched off. :confused: Any clues guys ? Much appreciated. Mark PS Happy New Year to all ye faithfull Zedders .

Just thought I'd relate yesterday to you all........ Pulled past a bus on the Hook Road near where I live all ready to give it some right foot and tailgating me - un-noticed up to that point I should ad :nono: - was a police Fiesta. Needless to say he followed me for a while. Thought I'd shake him if I pulled into a garage. No such luck.......pulled in right behind me. Now I'm thinking 'MOT, tax, insurance all ok, wasn't speeding....what does he want' While I'm filling up he's sitting across the forecourt giving me a right evil eye !! My daughter is getting scared at this point - even more so when he circles the forecourt and pulls along side...... "Are you interested in selling it ?" "Pardon?" Then followed a lengthy conversation about the car, 300's in general and his fruitless search for a good car. I told him 5K and it's his. He took my number !!! I think the parting comment was something like "Nothing else comes close - especially at this money"........... Very surprised to say the least. Mark

I had mine done by Luke at Zcentre in the summer and it's brilliant!! I know the clutch may go from time to time but I still think it's been well worth it IMHO. Mark

I just rang Admiral to advise them that I've changed my car to a manual gearbox and they told me that this raises the insurance group to 31 !!!! WHAT THE F**K ????!!!!!! Since when was there more than 20 groups and why does the change raise mine from a 19 to a 31 ?? Can somebody please explain this to me ? :shock:

Hi Pambos My best mate lives in a village just outside Protaras heading towards the border on the coast. He's been there for about 15 years. Not a bad life at all. I've been out twice to see him - the missus is never that keen as I seem to get in trouble a lot - and only saw one Z - a red one, no mods that I could see. I plan to visit again this year....where abouts are you ? Mark

Got my car back last night........new brakes, fully serviced, soooo good to drive. On the way home the police stopped me for having an illegal number plate. FFS !!! The characters are too small apparently. I started to mention the regulations surrounding imported vehicles and he said that we'd all got it wrong and there was NO alternative to the standard size. I mentioned that a standard size wouldn't fit so he suggested sticking it on the bumper ! So instead of telling me to get it changed and sending me on my way I got fined !! What ever happened to warnings and 'producers' ? Kind of took the shine off the evening :( Still at least I've got the Z back and it's sooooooooo good ! Mark

If it helps - although probably not - I've just got a set of four Brembo discs (OEM size) for a TT from the US - £200 all in including shipping, duty, VAT etc. Drilled and slotted - look very nice in the box. Hope they fit :D Mark
