Its a mint one owner 95 car with no miles on it to speak of in the right colour no mods apart from OEM updates etc etc..........I guess in my heart I've bought it but my head just needs to get with the program !!!

That's the other problem mate. Its still in Japan so its a matter of trust in the dealer........unless I can persuade my misses I need a city break to Tokyo ! No chance of that so its a leap of faith !

Thanks guys. I've actually found a Z I want but am worried about overpaying for it. The question is really how much are they worth IN JAPAN ? I know that's a stupid question as there are so many variables but as a general rule I've always thought these cars are virtually worthless over there after a matter of a few years - let alone a 94/95 standard model ! I suppose I'll just have to decide if it's worth the asking price to ME........ :-)

Can someone advise me of the costs involved in getting a Zed to the UK ? Import Duty ? VAT ? Registration ? Does the value for Customs purposes have to be the same as the price paid ? Thanks everyone Mark (Seriously thinking about getting back into Zed ownership)

It's funny but I haven't owned a Z for about three years now (the 350Z doesn't count as on reflection it wasn't as nice hence sold a couple of months ago) and I still come on here to see what's for sale etc. I notice some BBS LM's up for grabs which makes me wonder if I should have GIVEN a set away last year ?!?! Any chance of a pic of them if they've been refurb'd Mark ? I also noticed that a front strut advertised on ebay has pictures of one in my old engine bay !!! That's when I REALLY wish I'd kept the car........... So I think I'm gonna have to buy one sooner rather than later before I go mad or my wife leaves me cos I'm constantly looking at Z's rather than chatting with her !!! JimmyTT just reading this back there might be some confusion...... the tyres are on j-spec standard rims so 16 inch I think. That may be my fault with the wording......my apologies if so. Mark

Hi all It's a while since I've been on here as I sold the 300 to another member (I hope all is well with it). VERY tempted to buy another as really miss it ! I realise this should probably be on the 'for sale' section but actually I dont want any money for them So: Set of j-spec alloys with good Yokohama tyres BBS split rim alloys two 18x10 and two 18x9 (actually off my 350Z but I'm guessing they would fit a 300ZX). I paid £2700 for a colour change that didn't include the engine bay - that was ANOTHER £1k !! Mind you it was Bayside Blue and Nissan charged a cool £1k just for the paint !!! Mark

I know it's kind of stupid since it's basically only a car but I'm really pleased that it's gone to someone who will genuinely appreciate and enjoy the car. Good luck with it Dave !! Mark

My car has gone today.....it's a really strange feeling looking out of the window at an empty driveway after so many years of ownership :-( I'll still check in here from time to time until I can't live without a 300 and buy another one !! Please welcome Dave to ownership like I was. This forum has been invaluable to me over the years.....thankyou to everyone I met or talked to. It was all hugely enjoyable - especially the days out ! I've only had the 350 for a few days so it's still al a bit new to make any value judgements - but I am enjoying it a lot. Apart from the BBS alloys it's also got an after-market exhaust that sounds fantastic !! And it's a great colour too :) I would love to keep it too Jason but it's just not practical - my daughter will be bugging me like crazy soon for her own runaround - and the insurance would KILL me on a 17 year old learner !!! :)

As some of you may know I've been selling - or trying to sell the 300 for some time - but not really giving it 100%. But now that has to change because...............my neighbours are all taking the p*ss out of me badly now !! They think I've opened some kind of dealership !! Mark

On the A3 yesterday...... J4P TT it was on the tiniest little car I've ever seen......like one of those mini Diahatsu's only smaller !
