  1. It just goes into a hole in the gap between body and the wing.
  2. Welcome to the club
  3. As I said I used a piece of garden hose to get me out of trouble, the drain pipe just fitted in the end. You need to extend the pipe, look for targa drain pipe there are pics on this site.
  4. Sure that makes it harder, now it is a bit undone you can get a very short screw driver on it. Once the connector base is moved forward, you will be able to feel the two pipes mine were an inch apart from each other. Very hard to see and again a one handed job.
  5. Yep real pig to get at, I used a very small ratchet drive. You really got to get you head down the footwell and a torch, I did my back in, as a temp fix I found a small piece of garden hose fitted on the old targa drain pipe and securely through to the wing, taking out the black tube.
  6. I agree take them back you should not have to put up with bad quality work. It happens to often and we should not accept it.
  7. Don't you mean, We Rip You Off .Com
  8. Yes too nice for every day.
  9. That's truly amazing work
  10. The cruise control unit does go there just moved it out of the way, extra cables for new boost sensor and old plugs still there. Before I started.
  11. Started to get to the t pieces by the wastgates today, they were really hard to get to (I have big hands:lol:). Most of the work is done one handed or even one fingered, with the help of very long tools. I find most stuff is accessible with one finger. Now the little metal clips you need a lot of patience and very long nose pliers or curved would have been better what a nightmare. I ended up cutting the drivers side off then cut it and peeled it off. Passenger side was a lot easier to get to but still could only get two fingers on it. Drivers side only managed one finger on this one and the clip was facing towards the block spent about an hour on that. Boost sensor. Going to install a manual boost controller tomorrow, money is tight. I would say this is not a job for someone who does not have a lot of patience it is a real pig of a job. I just need to run the wires from the sensor into the car.
  12. Hi after reading lots of threads and guides for installing boost controllers and gauges, they all seem to be for LHD. I know the components are the same but still is confusing. I am keeping the EGR for now but want to delete the Avi,s and PRVR. Getting to the wastgates is a pain I assume it's easier from underneath. So far.
  13. Titanium Key http://page4.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/d144666541
  14. They also like the car to be garaged. I payed £220 this year from classic car line. There is such a big difference between companies, depends where you live, how old, points, and many other things.
  15. My young apprentice soo getting sacked tonight.
  16. Maybe I was a tad optimist gets dark so fast, torch kept moving and got cold so gave up. Think I will go tomorrow, would like to get vacuum lines sorted so I can play with the boost.
  17. Should be good, can't wait.
  18. Trying to get my car back together for a trip to my cousins, shot blasting, powder coating and chrome business in Basildon tomorrow, to see if some bits are ready.
  19. Very lucky would not have lasted with my lead foot.
