There are other pitfalls unfortunately I'm afraid, some lovely low mileage classics but they do know there prices. The tax is high as well as parking as you have found out, if we did find a car the owner being local, would have to do all the paperwork and export for you and not being able to read the documents would be a real worry for us.

My brother has been in Hong Kong a while now and we have not found anything worth the hassle, prices are very strong for classics and the law is very strict with regard to import \ export.

It all depends on who they want to insure age, where you live, so many things, I'm with Classic Line beat all the others for me and I got 6 points last year. Phoning around all the companies is the only way real pain but can pay off.
