What did you do to your zed today?
You can't even begin to imagine how surprised I am to find that drilled and grooved brake discs are going to find a home on your Zed, Si...!! Whatever next..... :tt2:

glove box lock removal
The barrel just slides into the plastic surround - it's not even an interference fit. When you remove the 5 screws from the rear of the handle, the whole assembly (including the lock) should just fall out. The plastic trim around the barrel has two notches on the reverse that clip onto the back of the glovebox face itself. You need to remove the glovebox itself from the face first :)

Series 1 doorcards - mint / excellent condition!
I'm looking for a pair of Series 1 doorcards in excellent or mint condition. The fabric section is unimportant as they'll be retrimmed anyway, but the rest of the doorcard needs to be as close to spot-on as is humanly possible! Also, the speaker part doesn't really matter as there are pods built to cover that part. Anyone got a pair they fancy shifting...? :)

Juke rs seats are awesome!
There are plenty of CS seats available secondhand, mate - standard fit in things like Meganes, Focus RS (I think), etc... ;)

Dunno whether we'll be camping or not, but I'd like to try and get along on the Saturday at least :)

Petrol flap
I was reading a thread on here earlier today (from years ago) where someone confirmed that the flaps were the same size... Not something I can confirm for myself though!

Mondo to the rescue here! Behold, the bits I "helped him with": And a couple more gratuitous shots of his car too! HTH :)

Couple of mini-updates from the last few days :) Finally got around to fitting my extension cables for the rear coilovers! I also retrimmed the rear speaker covers in a nice black, as the original covers were ridiculously faded and just generally shabby-looking! And today, my replacement oil filler cap arrived. I think it looks considerably better than the OEM one that was there previously :) Th-th-th-that's all, folks!

I've got one of these to fit so I'm very interested in the responses to this :)

Brake pistons
Does anyone know if the pistons in the standard Sumitomo calipers are the same size between both front and rear calipers please?

I travelled from County Durham down to Lee Dent in Shrewsbury recently (over 4 hours each way), and I can wholeheartedly recommend him and his team! LA Autos in Shrewsbury :thumbup1:

At a quandary with my interior.
I knows my apples! :D Seriously though, me and Si had a looooooong chat about his interior when I met him at Powerzed the other weekend, so I know he's wanting something that's "OEM+" (like the rest of his car). With that in mind, bright colours (including thread) are pretty much out of the window, so it needs to be (in my opinion, anyway) a reasonably muted interior... one that you perhaps have to look twice at to realise that there's something a little out of the ordinary in there... :thumbup1:

Your car's plenty quick enough without adding in the "scrabble factor" of an NA diff, Tom! Hopefully Jimmer will be able to talk you out of it. :)

At a quandary with my interior.
A nice matt (or satin) black leather for the bolsters, charcoal grey or possibly black Alcantara for the centres and all the panelling. Finish it off with dark grey topstitching and you've got a winner! :) I know you want something that's very subtle, so the above would effectively be combining the best elements of the factory leather seats and the S2 "Alcantara" (even though it's not!) trim. With the added update of Alcantara seat centres, so no more creaking or sliding about during "spirited driving!" [/thread closed] :thumbup1:

Rear bumper swage line removal
Surely there'll still be a "line" of some description above the top of the lip and the skirts though? I can't imagine that Stillen of all manufacturers would do away with such an integral part of the Z32's body style...

You know my thoughts, mate. If you can get some pennies back for your current leather trim, then go for it :)

"You picked a fine time to leave me, Loose Wheel!" - Mondo's new Zed.
Yeah, guilty as charged... I picked up some little floozy in town and took her to the duck pond for some "alone time"... You can only imagine her disappointment when she went to hop into the back seat and found herself in the boot instead!!

I've just had to pop into town to pick up some dog food. It's lovely weather here today so yep, the roof was in the boot! :) On my way home, I thought I'd stop off at Norton duck pond (a sort of scenic spot in Norton Village) and take 5 minutes to enjoy the surroundings... ...and take a quick phone picture of the Zed! :D Excuse the poor quality  Back to the grind now after that brief interlude!
