  1. Factory manual Shortie TT here :) See you next weekend :thumbup1:
  2. Excellent news, fella!
  3. If the car's such low mileage, why is the driver's seat so badly damaged...? Yes, there's the chance that a replacement interior's been fitted... but why would anyone put a damaged one in such a low mileage car...?
  4. When he dropped his interior off here last weekend, he spoke as if he was on another stand to ours. He could've changed his mind between then and now, of course.
  5. Nobody ever said it was easy...! And putting the new cover on is far more time-consuming and stressful than removing the old one - I'm trimming a Z32 at the moment and I just lurve doing the front seats.... :2guns:
  6. eBay link! 1998, S reg... with all the 89 Spec fixtures and fittings... hmmm. That interior! The cream panel finish... the repair to the driver's bolster... and that auto-shifter gaiter!!  £4000 and it's yours! Where's my chequebook?
  7. I'd have taken the rear bumper off beforehand, mate - minimise your workload and all that. Now you have two things that will require the paint blending in. Kudos for tidying her up but that's definitely going to need some fab work in the not too distant future!
  8. I'm sure I read somewhere that attendees (those showing cars) were able to arrive at any point whatsoever between Thursday and Sunday. :thumbup1:
  9. Knew I'd seen it on here recently! I should've realised you'd have had something to do with it...
  10. From about 92 onwards (I think), all models used the same brake parts.
  11. I've seen that advertised before, I'm sure. I know that we, as owners, want the prices to rise... but that's got to be beyond optimistic, surely!! If it was mint beyond mint (even with all the plastic tat on it), then perhaps it'd command a good price... but that car just isn't. Even from the small pictures, you can see that the windscreen trims are down to the chrome underneath, the interiors completely mismatched and the whole car just looks grubby as hell! But still, if that's the price: £12k takes mine away today! :thumbup1:
  12. I just don't understand how anyone can advertise a car as being as heavily modified as this without having the paperwork to back it up! The guy claims it's a 550bhp monster, yet only has a dyno sheet for just over 400... surely any prospective buyer is going to be a little put off by that? When I bought my first Zed, the seller said it was considerably quicker than his 500bhp Evo. No paperwork to confirm power though. A test drive confirmed it was quick, but not 500 horses quick. For me, what makes the car in question a proper question mark is the fact that the ad specifically states that there are receipts for vast amounts of money, but they don't actually exist. Can't stand things like that, personally....
  13. Just to add to Gaz' input, here's a link to Pekbau's original thread where he waxes a little more lyrical about this wonderous Zed: Click here for giggles! :thumbup1:
  14. That car's been checked by at least one of our members in recent months and found to be nothing like it's described as! There was never a Nismo variant of the Z32, so he's chatting crap there straight away. Apparently the whole car is nowhere near as clean as it looks in the pictures and the owner/seller was proudly displaying loads of tyremarks on the road outside his house, so you know it's been ragged to the Moon and back. Walk. Away...!!
  15. The pressure senders on these are notorious for being crap as the years roll by - I've read about a lot of Zeds where the oil pressure gauge is temperamental. I'd check everything as Lee suggested but, personally, I wouldn't be overly concerned. It's a known issue.
  16. You've been drinking, right? "No mods done to it at all"... except the lights, the alloys, the exhaust and the remap. Whilst they may not be hugely expansive mods, they're still mods. It's a bit like a woman saying "I've had no cosmetic surgery whatsoever... except for the nosejob, the boobjob and the lip fillers!" I get that he (or she, if you look at the seller details top right ;) ) is trying to push it towards the purists out there, but their phrasing is, in my opinion, pretty ridiculous. As Richie says, why not just sell it to your mate instead of just pointing out how cheaply (subjectively) you're advertising it to the masses...? It just seems very odd to me, that's all.
  17. Link! Maybe I'm just being picky here, but where's the logic in describing a car as having "no mods at all" and then listing the mods in the same sentence?! Remapped, but not dyno'd... do the two not usually go hand in hand (or am I wrong there?)...? Reason for sale: the Mrs. But open to a swap for another performance car. Er... what?? Owns three other Zeds too, apparently. First time I've heard them referred to as "flying kettles" though! Suggests owners should keep all receipts, yet pretty much states that this car has no receipts. Confusing.... Says 20 year old friend has £130 per year insurance on one. I smell something here...! Just a bit of a bizarre advert, in my opinion...
  18. Not to mention the fact that black shows every possible imperfection too!
  19. Looks like the inside of your arch is rusted through there, mate! Anything you do here is going to be a temporary fix at best... :( Good on ya for getting your hands dirty again though! :thumbup1:
  20. Do you know if the bulb has been replaced with an LED or not? If it has (and it's a white LED), the standard resistor dims the output to virtually nothing when the lights are turned on.
  21. OEM 89 spec 'wheel > anything else!
  22. Another TT subframe, mate - gonna keep the Hicas and everything! :thumbup1:
  23. Got it all out of the boot on my own :) Had to completely dismantle the bloody thing in there though!
  24. Just come back from a mooch up the A1 to meet MasterCookieman and collect a spare rear subframe and diff, ready for refurbing :) It all fits in the boot of a Shortie... kind of... now I just need to find someone here who'll help me get the damned thing out of the boot!!
  25. You mean Taff, mate... ;)
