  1. Just been reading about this, actually. Pure scum behaviour... and that's being far more polite than he deserves!
  2. I need a cigarette lighter for my Zed! I don't need the ashtray or the console or anything like that - I just need the 12v lighter assembly itself that fits into the console. Anyone got one kicking around please?
  3. He only replies on a weekday, mate. So you might get a reply on Monday :)
  4. Lights, interior and drivetrain have all gone. Lights and interior, definitely! He replied to me the following morning, and this was a few days ago now.
  5. Seats are now on their way back to Scotland! :thumbup1: It was good to meet Lee and his family this afternoon
  6. I'm excited to see it out of the living room... but not as excited about that as Fran is!
  7. They've both just had every conceivable piece of fibreglass thrown at them, haven't they? :hurl: It's a "no" from me.....
  8. 4 bolts per seat and a single connector plug per seat. If they're electric, you'll need to remove either the front or rear bolts first and then slide the seat in whatever direction you need to get to the other bolts before you unplug them! And I'll reply to your text now :)
  9. I'll check them when the weather clears a bit. Car's not going anywhere right now anyway so...
  10. No. I've had no time to look and it's not really the weather now. I might just get Mr Dent to check it out when I head down there in the near future :)
  11. So there's nothing I need to replace on the end of the arm then? What attaches the arm to the balljoint?
  12. I'll be getting my Hicas gubbins at the rear end replaced soon and I want to make sure I have everything that's needed. I have the two arms here and a pair of balljoints is on order. What else do I need? And no, I don't want to remove it all and fit a Driftworks kit!!
  13. Whoa, what the hell??!! RIP, Ross... that's no age at all... :( :(
  14. Rear seats. More work than they might first appear! Some are taken with the flash (cos it's pitch black here!) and some just with the light on. All together, I think they look pretty snazzy and should look great in Lee's Zed!
  15. Those mouldings are too long to fit a SWB. If they're the Kumura replicas (like I got from Z1), it could be that they're not quite long enough, but I'd have expected that flap to cover the shortfall (if it was present).
  16. Shortie ones are considerably shorter than the 2+2 ones, Lee. Shorter than the ones you have there. Is the little flap that sits over the end of the moulding missing? I can't see it in your picture. I think it's part of the quarter window rubber...
  17. And that's the rear seats all completed now, with a day to spare as well! I'll post some pictures tomorrow :)
  18. There were quite a few people advising the previous owner of your car as to what the issue could be, including when he was selling it. To my knowledge, he never got it checked "properly" and simply sold the car to you instead...
  19. Whatever will be will be, Mr Umsch
  20. Looks like me, Fran and the two dogs are coming now (as well as two cars!) - arriving Saturday morning, camp over that night and then leave some time on the Sunday evening
  21. I didn't know myself until I stripped the covers off yesterday, Lee. Glad you like what you're seeing so far :thumbup1:
  22. So, as promised, a pair of completed front seats - black leather, red stitching and "300ZX" embroidered in red. :) I'm seriously thinking about strongly recommending that future customers buy brand new seat foam before I agree to a retrim as 20-odd year old foam can really make my job that much harder! For example, both the outside upper bolsters on these seats were in a poor way... the driver's side especially was fairly mangled and had been "repaired" in the past too. In fact, the driver's upper cover had been extensively played with in a bid to minimise the noticeable effects of the repairs. Consequently, those bolsters aren't perfect on this retrim, which makes me sad. But I'll keep on adjusting them before collection on Saturday so, hopefully, they'll look as Nissan and myself intended them to look :) 3 days to go and a pair of back seats to do... back to 21 hour working days for me then!
  23. There'll be some nice pictures on here tomorrow morning...!
