  1. Cheers Gaz. I think it may pale into insignificance alongside yours though.... :sneaky2:
  2. As ready for JAE tomorrow as she's ever going to be, I think... :)
  3. I remember turning up at my mother's house and she was sat watching it all unfold on live TV. I thought she was watching some dodgy movie or something....
  4. [fastshow]Today I'll be mostly cleaning the Zed thoroughly, inside and out, ready to hit JAE tomorrow morning![/fastshow] At the minute, she's pretty filthy, but it shouldn't take too long to have her gleaming again
  5. That engine bay's just crazy, Pete! :thumbup1: Top work. You should feel very proud right about now!
  6. Too much of a pain in the arse to figure out so I've had to relent and put a separate switch in for the rear fogs.
  7. That's correct, Mark. But how do those wires successfully connect to the wires for my rear fog? That's what I can't find or figure out! Aaaaargh!!
  8. The foglight switch has a tell-tale that lights up when switched on, Tom. So no worries there. I just cannot figure out how to get it to power the rear fog light itself!
  9. Right, I've searched and searched but can't find anything definitive so now I'm asking: How do I wire my rear fog light (O/S chamber on rear panel) into the JDM front foglight switch? I'm more than happy to sacrifice the front fogs - I just want to use the existing switch to operate my rear fogs. Idiot-speak more than welcome!
  10. Hmmm. I was going to reply to this yesterday, but decided to have a good look around first instead. I've always been on the fence about the 99 Spec spoiler. From some angles, it looks decent, but there are plenty where it just looks like a bit of an afterthought (in my opinion). It reminds me a little of the old RGA universal spoilers you could get. The Twinz Type I: I like it for the fact that it lessens the third brake light somewhat. That said, I personally think it's too small. Because the Zed has quite a large rear bumper, especially the 2+2, I think the spoiler needs to be a little chunkier than the Twinz version. For me personally, Nissan got it almost perfect straight out of the gate. :)
  11. Might sound like a daft question, but is there any sort of communal BBQ for the Zed lot? Or do we just bring our own if we want? Or live out of burger vans...?
  12. Cracking news, man!!
  13. Has anyone who's going to JAE got a very good condition complete fan shroud for a TT that they'd like to part with...? I'm suggesting JAE as it'll be far easier than posting it. :) Anyone...?
  14. eBay link He's selling his SWB manual... except it's a LWB!! I despair sometimes.....
  15. Have they actually told you why they believe your engine to be knackered...?
  16. Nope, I wouldn't. But a second opinion is definitely called for, whether it's from another garage or the builder himself. Which simply proves my point that nothing I said was alarmist or excessive.
  17. If I took a car with a newly-built engine to a garage and the staff were telling me that the engine was potentially knackered then yeah, I'd be taking it somewhere else. What's excessive or alarmist about that?
  18. £10 (I think) subscription required before you have the PM facility.
  19. I'd find another test centre, Lee!
  20. Excellent news, Scott! :thumbup1:
  21. Either MJP (Mr F is a trader on here) or Z Centre, or somewhere in the US like Z1 or Concept Z.
  22. Good luck, fella! Hope she does you proud :thumbup1:
