  1. I have to agree with this. My old black LWB had no spoiler when I got it and I just always thought it looked wrong because of it.!
  2. Late-spec lights. That's it. Or maybe even a set of Phutumsch's "smoked" replicas... seeing as your car's so dark as it is. With a set of them sandwiched between that bumper and boot spoiler, I think it'd update it nicely :)
  3. Sorry, my mistake - yep, Mr Grima is the current owner of the Zed in the second link and it's been shipped off to Donny for a new engine. The Zed in the first link, however, is a different car. With a different reg number. :)
  4. Gaz means a subscribed paid member. You're currently only showing as a registered user.
  5. Kidda owns the one in the second link and he's just shipped it to Doncaster for a replacement engine, according to Facebook. Not to mention that the reg numbers are different. As I said though, I'm basing this purely on the first couple of posts in each link, so there may be something in the second link relating to the Zed on eBay. But the first post by Kidda in the second link isn't the same car as we're discussing. Edit: Having had a look through the second link, the two links definitely relate to different cars.
  6. The second link's a different car, Graham. Unless there's an aspect to that thread that I haven't read involving the Zed in question. I can understand the seller's thinking as, from the pictures at least, it looks a nice car. But when he bought it for £7k last year, it'd been up for sale for a while so quite why he thought he'd be able to spin an £8k profit almost instantly (he put it up for sale originally very soon after buying it) is anyone's guess!
  7. For me personally, the bigger issue would be the fact that it's off a 370Z rather than a 300ZX. I prefer to try and keep things correct to the model, that's all :)
  8. I'm not sure myself - the pictures are a bit hazy and a quick Google search on the eBay ID reveals that he once bought a Zed with a roof scoop!! Wouldn't trust him myself....
  9. Is all of this dialogue in the form of emails or eBay messages, Russ? If so, just forward everything to them if he tries to make yet more of an arse of himself - that way, they can see that you've been an exemplary seller and he's agreed to have the spoiler back again. People like this just give me a very warm bladder!!
  10. Have you been lucky enough to find the proper spats on the back of it, Andy?
  11. Fixed that for ya, mate!
  12. Have you tried getting any quotes for transport from Shiply or anywhere like that? If you've established that you can't legally tow it there, getting someone else to transport it seems to be your only viable option...
  13. That's cracking work! :thumbup1: The closest I've ever come to doing any "woodwork" since leaving school was when I decided to replace all the decorative rails on the walls in an old house of mine. Not a bad attempt but I could always see little bits that niggled the hell out of me! You should definitely be proud of yourself for this, mate!
  14. They make it look even more like a Trans Am!
  15. The answer to this is surprisingly simple: they were (in some cases, still are) "cheap" to buy. The car in question is an NA to boot, so not as sought-after as a TT. Owner buys it cheap and, in his head, decides that a "cheap car" isn't worth spending a lot on maintenance-wise. So it starts to become a little shedlike! Now the prices are on the rise, people who buy them will (hopefully) no longer think of them as "cheap cars" and subsequently start to look after them. Like the majority of us lot do. :)
  16. A wheel refurb / recolour is on my "to do" list for the Zed :thumbup1:
  17. Someone's started the bidding.......
  18. Now, I don't claim to know everything about everything, but I always thought a turbo timer simply allowed the car to idle for a set period of time once the key's been removed from the ignition. What effect does a turbo timer actually have on the turbos or the boost level? I'm genuinely surprised by this!!
  19. He got the car for free...? It is a vulgar looking thing but, as has been said since the dawn of time, it'd be a dull world if everyone liked the same thing. I do like his ad though: "My personal eBay account has 100% positive feedback, so buy with confidence!" Then you see that the account he's selling the car through has a huuuuuuge black mark against it!
  20. You weren't "so rudely informed" about anything. You stated that they weren't "replica knock offs" because of where they came from... I just pointed out that they were, in fact, "replica knock offs" (to use your words, not mine) based on the material they're constructed from and the finish they were supplied with.
  21. As Ian said: it's called "vacuum metallising." It's what Redwine had done to his reflectors when he refurbed his headlights a while back. In fact, it's what Nissan had done to the original 99 Spec inserts to give them the chrome look. Works as well on FRP as it does on pretty much any other substrate :thumbup1:
  22. If the inserts are FRP (as they look in the pictures of the undersides of them) and are supplied in "shiny black" then my money's on them being replicas. I don't imagine Nissan would make them out of fibreglass or supply them in black when every single Z32 they were fitted to from the factory had them chromed! They may be very good replicas, but they're still "replica knock offs" as you put it. :thumbup1:
  23. That Stratos is just the sex!!
  24. Is there only me that's slightly agog at the mental image of someone this big cramming themselves into a Smart car...?
