  1. Doesn't look to have 600hp rear wheels. That is a man's car!
  2. I know there are various ones that can be used but don't know the ins and outs of it. They are quite expensive and you only buy the rotor (the silver bit round the edge)
  3. I can't leave work and it's the weekend so unless someone says these are fine I'll have to do it on tuesday :-(
  4. Yeah thats why I was worried that the reference pounts would be wrong?
  5. My mate took my car to get tracked today while I was flying, they have tracked it as a 1985 south african zed? How do these figures look?
  6. On initial order front and back were gonna take 12 weeks to be built up and sent out, then someone cancelled an order an I got the fronts early. The backs will be 9 weeks or so now. I ordered 356mm 8 fronts and 330 4 pot rears. With default pads, despite the poor reviews for the standard pads because I bet theyre totally fine. The rears use the standard drums. On the D2 site it lists floating and fixed and all sorts but according to Mark Derby these aren't all availiable in the uk you only get to choose size as you do with K sport. They are exactly the same you pay for the D2 name. I think you can get whatever colour you want looking at the glossy that came in the box. I have 18 inch Rota GTRs
  7. I have had 23 miles of them working perfectly  They came beautifully packaged, everything I needed. Fairly straight forward fitment other than needing to tin snip the dust plate and file 3 mm off the hub. Seem really good quality and they are already starting to really bite hard, but I am breaking them in carefully as I should. Automodz got mine at a better price than anywhere I found online.
  8. they have quickly firmed up, I tink it was just travel while the pads had that red brake in coat and it took more pressure to grip the disc at all. So it seems they are ebc black stuff if they have brake in. I meant to say thanks to Mark and Automodz for ordering these and the master brace I fitted today, and for the fitting tips. Can not wait for the rears, to my eye they change the parked up car from, Thats a pretty car, looks quick. To Thats a pretty car... jesus look at those brakes, that is some machine!
  9. Hahahahahahaha! Sorry   In the sort of weather that kills people me and David fitted those. More or less a sucsess, were a bit soft at first but I think its just them bedding in. Somehow I have toed out my nsf wheel doing them. Christ knows how but it pulls left a tiny bit and you can sort of see it. Ill get it tracked I think I perhaps pryed against an arm trying to crack a bolt.
  10. You're not getting old it is bonkers! I've been in quieter aircraft! Hope my sound management idea works
  11. That looks smart Si :thumbup1: I have sized up this job...
  12. I have just got up amd feel like I have been boxing, I suppose I wrestled the car somewhat over the tops to carlisle, bit of a shakedown for David. My ears nearly work again. But now it's my annual 10 man life raft drill. I was just thinking how much I want to jump in the sea haha :boat:  It was my first exposure to a basically stock zed. It was pretty good, I immediately noticed the stock suspension, it was noticeably more comfortable around town but I prefer the way my coilovers respond to faster country roads. Although they are firmer they don't become overwhelmed like the stock setup over multiple undulations. What I did like is that it took a bit more 'driving' to get David's car across the pennines, it reminded me of my (polybushed and well set up) 2.8 capri, you got plenty of information from the car earlier than with the stiffer set up I have, it needed larger steering angles and more management of the weight shift but it was really rewarding to get right. The power was pretty good, you can tell it has auto tubs and cams because from 3500 you have all the power your going to get, mine just has more of a top end rush. David is a very good passenger now I reflect on my... test piloting...
  13. Drove about a million miles in 2 of them today :hang: Write up to follow but me and David have been recovering a zed from Mark's place back to Morayshire. Christ, its a long drive, especially with David's ridonkulous!!! Exhaust :pinch: When I got back in mine it was like a Rolls Royce, "The loudest thing at 100 mph is the clock." Or was it just the chimes in my ears :walkman:
  14. You legend! A bit of jail time for criminal levels of being a boss is well worth it for that story! :thumbup1:
  15. What happened on the 3rd of march? Was that a glitch?
  16. Sorry assumed this was down country as ever. Mine always works :-) but I am working on the 20th I am afraid. David will have a workkng zed then too. Haway Moray divison! Haha.

  18. It doesn't look bad mate, if youre keeping it you should probably do the nose panel and everything above the doors black too. Or paint it red. Its a tricky thing to do bit the big red 300 that went to france looked pretty mean with the black roof bits. But it doesnt look bad as it is.

  22. And, controversial lol I am gonna miss my hicas with my NA diff, last night taking a girl on a date in the zed in the wet, I was glad to have hicas turned on, it's less tail happy and corners feel more flowing and far smoother for the passenger.
