  1. just had a thought, "FUNKY SI! Come over here"
  2. Mate that is my opinion too. The only time I get excited by them is when I see glimpses of awesome parts, A ceramic coated fancy flowed manifold through the bonet vent, Mega brakes, A sequential box, Don't really like the fog lights :hurl:
  3. I am starting to have something to say in response to the "my car is stumbling at 3000 rpm" type threads these days but don't want to give out duff info. I feel like there is still good friendly banter about the place on here though :) I'll put my evo vs GT4 thread back to the top, get a chat going on that  ... ...
  4. My cousin is going to buy this tomorrow unless something is not as advertised when he test drives it. http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/classifieds/used-cars/mitsubishi/evo-iv--vi/mitsubishi-lancer-evo-5-gsr-white-imported-2011-stunning-example/2283575 I don't really like evos but, thats mostly a cosmetic thing, then a 4wd thing, and I have never been in one. So its not a well founded dislike, it will probably be awesome  What I have said to him (based on computer games and things I've heard) is to be wary of the way they grip like hell then let go in a terminal way. That they are sensitive to lift off near unrecoverable oversteer. I know this o ly happens if youre going stupid but still feel like its worth the warning, made worse by the fact its on coilovers that are not necesarrily well chosen or set up. What are peoples thoughts on evos and their behaviour when they run out of grip?
  5. That is beautiful, those exhausts are a bit of a statement! But I like them :-D Wouldn't mind a good review of those seats when youve had some time in them.
  6. I can't sensibly get down from Lossiemouth in time for saturday. But I can make Sunday. I may be in the area saturday night for a pint. Dead excited, let me know what I owe you Bob :)
  7. Are we getting group tickets here or buying our own? is the GTO thing on the Saturday? I will do the full sunday :)
  8. Nice bike mate, enjoy it, don't go nuts and it will be awesome :thumbup1:
  9. Welcome to the club, really friendly forum this one :thumbup1:
  10. I can attend, and will confirm for main event on sunday if I am correct on these things, It is the 26th and 27th july It costs about or less than £200 It is a handfull of drag launches and a couple of track laps, so will not monster the brakes and clutch and wont totally hammer the car. Does that sound about right? Ive just had a look its 100 pounds so put me dowm for the main event on sunday.
  11. They are lovely, really like your suede door cards too :thumbup1:
  12. Oh sorry! Non turbo oil I have no idea probably the same as turbo but I don't know.
  13. Silver surfer is selling front tt calipers right now http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?176683-New-Buy-it-Now-Listing-various-parts I use 10w40 semi valvoline. There will be multiple oppinions but I think the safe bet is 10 40 semi
  14. This is a dangerous game, looking at all these nice cars. It's probably just my boost withdrawl kicking in from having the car away at Mark's place. "I'm saving for a house, I'm saving for a house..." :sweatdrop:
  15. No way  an s15 for how much? I thought they were big money?
  16. http://gt4oc.net/gt4bay/auction_details.php?name=forged-st205-for-sale-scotland&auction_id=103440 Top one looks like a good buy. Shame there aren't more details.
  17. Can you have a look on there please mate, perhaps screen shot any good ones? Im not allowed in, they can sense my "4WD is cheating" attitude.
  18. Cheers Si, echoing what I've read elsewhere. He has 8 grand the mad ******* there are a couple for 5 that look good. I would get this one  http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/toyota/celica/carlos-sainz-gt4--widebody-st185-turbocharged-4wd-special-wrc-ltd-rally-edition-extremely-rare--outstanding-condition/2249028
  19. My cousin is in the market for a fast car, he loves my zed but isn't really a RWD man  I dont understand it either  He is thinking about getting a Celica GT4, years ago I had a ride in a tuned one I thought it was amazing but had very little to compare it against at the time. I know they are a 3SGTE engine and I don't think that the 500hp one Noz tuned has gone bang yet so that is a good start. I have read about the suspension joints being a known failure point, but other than that don't know much. I suggested the Celica as I think you will get more for your money compared to shopping for an Evo, Scooby, or GTR. What do people think, good car??? Bad points??? Thank you guys, I am interested to hear peoples experiences.
  20. I tried to angle mine down as far as i could, I even rolled up the spash guard to make sure the 2 Apexis were in the basking shark mouth bit, In a (clearly misguided) attempt to get an additional 1.76bhp of airflow. I have had no stumble or anything but may look to relocate them slightly
  21. Im intersted too spin/racer, I'll be fitting one when the opportunity comes up.
  22. I must be very lucky as I have driven in full, "build an Ark" weather :boat: and never had an issue with 2 apexi filters down in the weeds, but I bet that would work that K&N bag thing yes.
  23. Happy birthday mate, make sure you take the purple one out today, its a beautiful car
  24. You hear about a lot of dead MAFs playing up like that. When it's doing it unplug the MAF and if it doesn't change, that'll be it. It might not be fully dead just on it's way out or damp/wet on the hot wire.
