What did you do to your zed today?
I changed my clutch slave cylinder and bled through a full system of new fluid. A few days ago it went and I couldn't dip it. All sorted now :)

Tuning.....
Mine has a 5 cylinder warble that is unique to her, Automodz, Zedworld and Noz have all tried to stop it doing it. All those garages have checked her over and tuned her up and it still does it. Just a subtle tick in the otherwise smoothe "bub-bub-bub-bub-bub-b'b-bub-bub-bub-bub" Spot the apostrophe :) it has been put down to just the way the exhausts line up or whatever, nothing at fault. Get it looked over it'll be fine :thumbup1:

Tuning.....
Dunno mate my stock boost gauge is in millimetres of Saki because it's Japanese  About 10 I think, 16 doesn't feel abusive to the car at all. It will shorten the life if stuff but it's not killed anything yet, and I dont run any cats. "Go on my little turbos!" my car was definitely not built on a friday afternoon.

Tuning.....
Hello Dean, sounds like you're going about tuning your zed the right way. Getting her up to stock before adding power. You could fit the chip and plumb in the EBC, but if you go to Noz, he can fit it, check your car over, then rolling road map it. The map you will get will be bespoke to your car, your engine, your intercoolers and the rest. Mine is on stock internals, with Auto turbos and cams. It has run 16psi and 450 or so (engine) horsepower for 32'000 miles. Bear in mind that is 15 oil changes but it (touch wood) is a very happy car. Good luck mate :clover:

Buying oem or modded
Just because a standard 300zx can't do what I want it to do, but a modified one does exactly what I want a car to do, moreover it does so bloody well and with some style

Buying oem or modded
I didn't realise it at the time, but I bought my car rotten, the rot hidden behind skirts. I have had it sorted out, I hope I am right to say that, the car is no longer rotten and will take another 25 years to get back to the state it was in. If I was happy that it was properly restored I would see it as a positive in a car I was buying. Or what are your thoughts on it?

Buying oem or modded
The dream car would be; Suspension work, anti roll bars, coilovers, expensive wheels. Respray with photos of the work and welding. Interior work. Expensive exhaust system. Quick shifter, clutch flywheel. The end. Standard engine but loads if value in things like wheels and coilovers, on a car selling for £4000 to £5000. Then you have a relatively unstressed engine to do with what you will. Even if you don't like the wheels you can sell them. Thats my opinion. But get the car home and take it all to bits, check the coilovers aren't 4 different lengths and settings, thorough service with a good look at everyrhing you disturb on the way.

80'000 miles
This year I have managed some serious mileage in my zed, largely hassle free after it's overhaul before my Falklands det. Not to mention all the smaller (less than 300 miles) journeys and a full fuel tank of drifting, it has taken me from, Lossie, Anglesey, Devon, Ipswich, Bishop Auckland, Ipswich, Birmingham, to Snowdon and then back here to Birmingham. It was as I went through Telford yesterday that it passed 80'000 miles, not far at all from where I bought is at 45'000 a few years ago. Well done Nissan, heres to the next 35'000 miles.

the zed vs other cars
Haha, hardly, it was a pub car park! The Porche looked like it had stood there a while, the bonnet was a bit lighter than the rest. The seats were very tired and I was generally unnimpressed. There was an awful bit of red plastic up the dash and past the gear knob :( I didn't realise they were 4 seaters mind, with them being rear engined.

Can a mod please put this into the right thread, I couldn't find it for the life of me. Is it sticky somewhere? Anyway, check this out...

What did you do to your zed today?
Mate, take it from a man with a stick on numberplate, you will have to be a charismatic stallion to talk your way out of a fine for that microplate  :clover: Get a vinyl one, perhaps just a black rectangle and individual letters over your white pearl, or get one like mine, but I think you may be in bother with that one. "Sorry officer, I had an inches/millimetres faf!"

More problems what a surprise!
Those the ones behind where the flare would be in the passenger footwell Groover? for the drivers footwell fuses, mine were all Japanese so I have this to translate them.

More problems what a surprise!
Bit difficult to follow there mate but if you have full beams more often than not, check the 10A fuse in the drivers footwell. If you have a short in the lighting circuit it defaults to high beam When it should be dipped.
