  1. I don't know what to say, but no one should pass away at 30. My thoughts are with his family.
  2. I think a think a lot of the noise comes from the pipework, it amplifies it. I noticed a lot more whooshing about after I fitted my dual MAF and hardpipes, I can only think it let twice as much noise out, stereo :)
  3. I keep meaning to do a drive with the recircs deactivated, see if it does the... "Wha-ta-ta-ta-ta-ssss!" Audi Quattro thing. I know it's a little bit damaging but it would be a giggle for a weekend. Do I just need to clamp the vac lines to the recircs???
  4. I love the air filter :biggrin: i hope you don't have a small oil leak or similar that gets sucked in there.
  5. Mate, just read through this thread. I really feel your pain. I was with admiral for years, 2 cars good price. Then one year they wouldn't cover inports (all of a sudden) and I was really late to find Adrian Flux who would cover me. I was prepared to miss a year out driving the zed, because I refused to pay over a grand on insurance. It is not proportional is it. Stupid money. If I was you I would get the lowest quote of €3000 and some. Then within that amount find another solution. A cheap saxo, a cheap policy, then money for a year under the bonnet. Awful to surrender, but we shouldn't pay these prices :clover:
  6. Happy birthday :) :happybday: :thumbup1:
  7. It's probably nothing. Going full throttle in a zed isn't abusive if it's serviced tuned and warm.
  8. Oh dear, walk away from it, shut the garage and don't think about it for a day. Go back to it, and check it over with no assumptions of what may have happened, just check it front to back top to bottom. Over thinking things had never pointed me in the right direction. :clover:
  9. It's not Spin Doctor's old car is it?
  10. This appeared on my Facebook, it was taken at a North East meet somewhere. I don't recognise it.
  11. Happy Birthday mark :happybday::)
  12. That looks like it may just be a bit of software that needs a side profile... not necessarily the full wind tunnel. I have no idea if my pick and mix body kit is picking me up or pushing me down!? The spoiler is the right shape and does something.
  13. Impul parts are very desirable. It hasn't been ragged. It is low mileage, beautiful inside. Turbo. Mate, some T cut and £300 of rust shouldn't be an issue. Don't let it go cheap or get broken. That is a £5000 car. And BBS wheels! Don't give it away.
  14. Looks a good one, hold out for a strong price. Ask for £5000 minimum.

  20. https://z32.wikispaces.com/Year+Differences There is an 8 bit then 16 bit ecu thing too. Don't think it makes a difference

  22. There is a decent table to compare somewhere but off the top of my head. Later cars have airbags with a slightly big and fat wheel. I don't like as much. Later cars have a conventional heater knob that is less cool than the earlier space ship controls. In the middle years you get the best, "space ship" digital climate cobtrol thing with better functions. Later ones rarely have cruise control. 98 ones have a better gearbox (slightly) 94 ones have a slightly better inlet manifold (may be wrong) 89 ones have a few niggles that were sorted in 1990. The series 1 ptu (distributor) can melt but mine never did in 80'000 miles

  24. I am pretty sure they are the same. You don't necessarily need the rod? Just the bush. I got mine from mjp I think, ~£40.
