  1. That it did Garry  It was like launch control when I first pulled off though
  2. I drove my honda accord from Shrewsbury to Angelsey and back to be able to give the zed a run out! It hadn't moved since the 4th September X-( She started first time straight away and ran perfectly "Go-on-zed" And of course the once I tried WOT it span it's wheels in fourth haha. I miss my zed! Before and after :-/
  3. Awesome read Andrew, mine (I hope) is pretty much the cyan one he adds last, lots of power all the time. All I am going to do in the near future is Ash Spec manifolds and the best divorced downpipes I can find.
  4. My car is over 400 bhp, not sure exactly where these days but it is bloody quick. It does not have bigger injectors. Where I'm pretty sure the power has come from: - Being really well serviced and running well in the first place. - Selin Dual intake with 2 Apexis - 2.5 inch intake and boost pipes - AshSpec Massive intercoolers - HKS EVC 5 EBC at 15psi - Japspeed Turbo back x pipe exhaust (no cats) And it isn't that loud Things which then allow it to keep working: - Competition 6 puck clutch and a lighter flywheel - Wiring specialities harness - New Waterpump and bigger radiator - Bigger oil cooler - Bigger Fuel pump with AFPR and a "Stack" in car fuel pressure gauge Then to keep you alive: - Good tyres - K sport brakes - Coilovers - ARBs
  5. Happy Birthday Simon :biggrin::happybday::thumbup1:
  6. It isn't an air or boost leak so won't directly affect the fueling in that way. However, the loss of gas driving one of the turbos will cause asymmetric boost across the two banks of the engine. It will ballance a little using the ballance bar but clearly it isn't ideal at all. There may be something else at play, but 'till you sort that leak out there is no point thinking about other possible issues.
  7. That was outside work at lossie, It was COLD. Standard car park zed weather haha.
  8. This is NOT my handiwork. I did not do this wiring but I have since fixed it.
  9. I had that and it was 2 wires that had rubbed bare behind the front right light. But it took a lot of finding, I had all the lights hanging out at all 4 corners and traced them back into the car. It was also wrapped in tape. I'll dig up a pic...
  10. In my not expert and limited experience. Dropping a cylinder is a soft cut, like a flattening of acceleration rather than the "ooof-f**k!" sort of a cut you're describing. I had a one sided boost leak and it pulsed down the road, I presume as one bank was fine and the other was struggling. Dodgy fueling or AFR in my experience showed itself with a wierd inconsistent acceleration, flat spots and then kind of alright at WOT. I think it'll be a 1 sided boost leak.
  11. Oh, that makes sense, I thought that was a low price for that beauty. I may have put a bid in if it was for sale. Glad to hear you're keeping it Pete :)
  12. I miss the Ulex gorse! It smells like coconut but not everyone can smell it. That looks like the road to kinloss :) Slick Pete's car will be a very good example of a manual zed :)
  13. Hi Alex, get some pics up of your other cars :) Good luck, keep an ear out, put up a wanted thread, hopefully you'll find something :clover:
  14. Sorry mate, I am working too hard at Shawbury to make it back to Angelsey. If you're going past RAF Valley, please check in on the zed in the car park and make sure there isn't a wheelie bin lodged in it!
  15. That is awesome. I think the insurance will onsider it to be a 300zx. That has been my experience but I'm sure it varys with different companies. Looking forward to seeing more of this car :)
  16. Hello mate, welcome to the forum :) Don't know of that car I'm afraid but there are some knowledgeable people on here. If you have pictures of any cars you're considering, stick em up here, someone may see something, good or bad and be able to advise. :clover:
  17. Haha, the fun I had  I nearly forgot about that! The "injector remover 5000" How I did injector 6 in situe I have no idea! These are the rings, sat looking like an air leak waiting to happen.
  18. Yes those. I only mention it because I sat at my computer (in 2014 this was) and planned my plenum pull bits and bobs. I bought a load of bits from czp and didn't realise till I was in there I needed those. It wasn't advised when I bought the injectors and I think they are probably due when your injectors are. Mine were fine but rock hard.
  19. Could have been, they were a CZP order if I remember correctly. Dont forget to order the lower o-rings like I did.
  20. If it helps, I fitted these with simple adapters to a 1990 TT
  21. Hell! I'm glad you're alright, stand on a yellow pages and await rescue :clover:
  22. Haha, I've seen the car, on the left as you drive into the high street, I've seen him out polishing it. I'm at RAF Valley, let me know in good time, I'll be there :)
