Mitsubishi 3000, gt, gto anyone ever owened one?
ECU issues is biggy. Great car, great handling, quick, but not as quick as the Zed. Basically the components used on the Earlier GTOs ECU had weak capacitors. I have seen GTO's blow pistons, become totally immobilised, missfire and have starting issues, because one or two capacitors have leaked on the ECU circuit board shorting it out. There is a guy called the ECU Doctor who rebuilds ECUs replacing all the weak components. for around £300 when I last had it done. The best mod on the GTO is the lightweight pulleys, a nightmare to fit, but well worth it, needed to remove drivers side front wheel, and transffer box for the drivetrain, so decided to drop gearbox and change clutch at the same time :D Performance gains were brilliant. I love the GTOs. Like I said not as quick as the Zed, and nowhere near as much of a kick. But a much "safer" feel whilst driving. Most GTOs with issues relate back to the ECUs (Inc blown headgaskets). Prefacelift, TT Manual is my preffered model I like the pop up lights, they suit the car much more imo. Plus you get more on the car as standard. (due to cutbacks on the 2nd edition)

I never liked the Scooby (except 22b and P1) Its 4wd, so is better in the wet, and has better traction / launch. once your at 30mph, the Scooby wont touch the Z imo. Neither will the GTO TT, RX7 or Supra TT. (Proven) i know a lot of scoobies with blown engines, they get hammered, all of them. You want adrenaline, get a Z, it is a real rush when you put your foot down. I dont do it much, still restricted to 110, but it is insanely fast. Partners uncle has an F430 Scuderia, DB9, EVO X and 600bhp MK2 Escort. But none (other than the MK2 Escort) give me the same rush as the Z. Its just brutal. I have owned 2 Mitsi GTOs, 3 MR2 Tubbies, a modded S14 200sx amoung others, and none give the fear the Z does with your foot down. Its great. I love it. Best to go out in one thats working properly so you know what to expect :D * Edit: My friend Scott works for prodrive, and has a 1999 740bhp Scooby. It is quick beyond belief, Fastest thing I have been in, 4 under car braces, £6k's worth of coilovers, and immense handling (hit 80mph on a roundabout with me in the car) Scared the ***t out of me with it. But you got to have deep pockets if thats what you want

If it works and is a genuine 360bhp then yes it would. but why you want 0-60? Seriously, full blown 0-60's will destroy tyres and clutches and drink fuel. 30-100 is far more impressive. I mean where can you pull out of a junction or roundabout, performing a flat out 0-60 safely in the real world? I can floor my Zed at 30mph (which is an auto) and it actually hammers the MK2 Focus RS from there to 100mph. All I have is an Exhaust :P

Why, why, why ???
News Report: Remember this poor Jaguar XJ220 found abandoned in the Qatari desert? Now we have an image of something even sadder: a Ferrari Enzo left to rot in Dubai. The supercar is just another victim among possibly thousands of luxurious and rare cars abandoned in the Middle East, mostly by expatriates returning home after failed business ventures or real estate deals gone sour. It was spotted in a police impound, which means it’s likely to be auctioned off. But in a region where thermometer readings can easily--and often do--exceed 115 degrees F, there’s a very good chance that much of the car could be severely damaged. With only 399 Enzos officially sold to the public, and a number already gone due to the careless action of their owners, plus now this example abandoned in Dubai, it’s safe to say that getting your hands on a pristine Ferrari Enzo will soon be next to impossible. Pricing for the car can easily reach more than a $1 million, that is, if you can even find one up for sale. We just hope other Enzo owners look after their cars better than this one.

Exhaust Fitting

Basingstoke Meet. All Regions Welcome.
Hi Guys, I know Im not in your area so to speak, but my father lives down in Basingstoke, and I am hoping to visit him end of this month or start of next month. I am hoping a few of us can meet up with the Zeds, grab a bite to eat, have a chat, get some pics of the cars, and most importantly put some names to faces. So here is my idea, its not set in stone, so open to suggestions. If we meet up at the Harvester, there is a nice outdoor eating area, (weather dependent) and a decent sized car park. Its not far from the 303 and M3. Postcode is: RG22 6HN, if we make it a Sunday so others can attend. If we say 29th July, or 5th of August - which ever is the more popular choice. I dont have a massive knowledge of the area, so if anyone has some ideas we can add into a days iteniary, maybe we can get some good pics :D Here is a Screenshot of Maps: Please copy and paste list, adding yourself if you are up for it, along with preffered date from those listed above, and any notes of ideas for the meet. I know 10 listed is a bit ambitious, but lets see what we can do, I will have a word with some others from South West region who may be up for it. 1> Ryan - Sunday 5th August Ideally - No Ideas for photo locations in the Area (Yet) 2> 3> 4> 5> 6> 7> 8> 9> 10>

OEM UK Wheels Tyres.

Exhaust Fitting
Thanks sdriver. When I visit my dad sometime next month, we could arrange a meet down yourway, well more towards Basingstoke, just of the M3/303 changeover if you and others are up for it. Im thinking not far from the M3/303 Change over, say Harvester? Postcode is RG22 6HN, make it a Sunday. If your up for it, I will start a thread in the South Central Meets Section. Its not to far from Anywhere in the south to be honest, and easy to get to. Screenshot of Maps:

OEM UK Wheels Tyres.
I agree. I want decent tyres. I dont want cheapest, but I want best value for money, performance VS cost, but something that will be better in the wet too. Hence I looked at S02s and T1-Rs, not sure how the potenza S02's perform in the wet though.

That looks awesome, Nitro I assume? Bet its quick. I need one lol. (notice the word Need) I have a husky and no exercise is enough. So would tie some chicken to the car and race it round a field, get him to chase it :D
