SWB for sale, had a small accident lol
a small accident is gettinga slight knock in a car park, or kerbing an alloy. Remind me never to buy a car from New Britain lmao.

Is this the bolt for the high pressure PAS pipe which runs down the drivers side then across the bottom of the car toward the passenger side?

never seen pedals like this before
They look like mine. A bit irritating at times as you get a glow in the footwell at night - which is kind of distracting. But I have seen much worse :D

Good fuel economy? I havent taken it over 3500 revs in those 100km mind lol. 25p per KM. 35p per Mile ish. Thats with Fuel costing £1.269 per litre. I was expecting 35-40p per mile, under normal driving conditions (not extra steady driving)

If The PAS pipe wasnt such a safety risk, I would of waited till I was up your way anyway Jeff lol. I never knew the above, so thanks for clearing that up mate. I need to get exhaust changed before I come up to you, as its blowing a treat and Im only getting just under 4km per £1 of fuel at the moment lol - and thats without using any boost! Soon as its sorted, will book in at a time suitable for you, as I want a few other bits done too while its with a pro :D

Hey Jimmer I didnt mean it like that. i asked on Fri what you were upto on the weekend. You advised you were busy Sat and Sun is family day, which is expected, and a fair comment. Which is why I text you yesterday asking, when would be a good time for you to fit it in, and how much you would want for it. Im not using the car again after today, till next weekend anyway. I only ever use it on weekends, and just top up the PAS fluid before I go lol. Just I'd rather take it to someone who knows what they are doing. Like yourself, Jeff and Luke. The As needed basis was not terminology for I need it now, so do it now, it was more of, a case of I need to get small jobs done now and then, as its what I have been told to expect with a Z. I dont mind going on a waiting list, and if the job was bigger, I'd expect to wait longer. Ryan

Thoughts on mr2 turbo?
I cant comment on that as I have never taken my Z over 100 lmfao. However, you can feel the torque much more on the Z. My first car was a MR2 Turbo - hence the love affair with the car. But my Z is a stock auto - no engine mods at all. not even induction. and pulling from 30 to 100 its pretty much neck and neck with the new mk2 focus RS. A minor change in either boost, induction or exhuast, would see you take the RS. All three would see you wipe it.

Push Bikes.
Good question Daffy, and I feel I have a good answer, I only get half hour lunch break, but have to go home and let the dogs out, would like o make the journey that bit quicker, if i saves me 3-4 mins each way. thats 20% of my break time, to grab a coffee or something whilst at home :D I do like the "look" of the cannondale over others. But the price on the one posted by sideshowbob is outstanding for a bike with hydraulic discs and not to be ignored. I remember about 11 years ago I was manager of the "bike hut" at a Halfords store. Back then, I was into cycling, but specs are like computers, they have changed so much. But I do remember Halfords own 160mm Hydraulic discs (despite being made by Hayes on their behalf) were around £80 per set. Thats £160 for a pair. without fitting. Our work cycle scheme, we get a written quote for the bike and accessories, take it to HR. They then buy the bike, and we pay 12 monthly payments to them, direct from wages - before Tax and NI is calculated (enabling us to also claim working tax credits) - thus increasing my earnings on anything over £600 incl accessories) Due to this, I was willing to go upto the £1000 limit, as I would actually have a higher take home at the end of the day, due to decreasing my salary by £1000 for the year, paying less tax and NI, and claiming a fair amount of working tax credits. Both of these are £999 and I dont know the difference again. Whats better the 23 or the 24? its the high pressure hose, comes from just above the alternator directly of the PAS pump, down under the car, and runs across the lower crossmemberwhich then feeds into a solid thin metal pipe.

Push Bikes.
Any pro's semi pro's or people here that actually know about these things? Im after one for work. I work less than a mile from home, would be nothing less than stupid o drive to work, so thought I would use their cycle to work scheme to get 52% discount on a bike upto a maximum of £1000. I have found two I like the look of, but I know zilch about push bikes lol. If you know anything about bikes, can you take a look at the specs, let me know if its made up of good components, or pretty average. Maybe even make a better suggestion? These are the two I found that I like: Cannondale Trail SL4 2012 Specialized Rockhopper 2012

Thoughts on mr2 turbo?
I can believe that lol. They are very unforgiving like I said lol. If you want an easily controlable drift car, go for a 200sx lol. Shamaz, where in Basingstoke are you? I used to live down there lol.

Well he took the two top pipes of. and decided that it was too much. whats the thick plastic pipe under those two? with the thin rubber "outlet" hose toward the plenum? he felt that was in the way and too much to move. But I saw the banjo bolt there and felt it was easily accessible. I just cant undo the bolt at the other end of the pipe under the car lol.

MR2 Tubby is one of my first choices. I even preffer it to the Z, but I need rear seats. My old Tubby was MUCH quicker than the TT Z. I had Nur Spec R Exhaust, HKS Boost Controller and induction, SSQV, boost was turned up a little and that was it. Insanely fast. My Z doesnt under perform either incase your thinking that. It will keep up with inlaws new MK2 Focus RS. Cant take it, bu at the same time he cant take the Z lol. Pretty neck and neck tbh. (I had a passenger though and he didnt!) I have been in an incredible MR2 Tubby before I dont know the mods, but it was over 800bhp. (at the wheels with NOS). A Yammy R6 came to overtake it, and Craig (the owner and former Owner of Autovision Tuning) whacked it down a few gears, hit the NOS, and the R6 was pulling a wheelie trying to keep up, we actually pulled away from the R6, Never seen anything like it before or since. I could barely breath, I was totally pinned in the seat and couldnt sit forward if I tried So to ask if quick modified, yes, its lightweight, the driving position and gearknob position is perfect. I love the car so much though as you can probably tell lol. Just make sure you have wide rear tyres if modding, as it is very unforgiving if you kick the back end out. The engine being midmounted, is almost like a pivot. but at the same time, is a great center of gravity if driving in the right direction lol.

Well, there are a few near. But everyone has stuff on - all legitimate too. Rob Hughes moving house - thats a biggy. Eggs - Is from the area (less than a mile!) but is away with work long term. Jimmer - Works all week, and had plans all day today, and understandably Sunday is a family day for him. Im sure there is more, Yewcheck, but I think he is more gloucester way, at which point its starting to cost more in fuel lmao. If anyone wants to come and do it, I have Tea, biscuits coffee and a bonus of £50 for having to put up with me :P

Im in somerset. Jimmer isnt far. But I really need a garage, close to home where I can go and get stuff done on an as needed basis. As you probably read on my other thread, getting someone to do my PAS pipe has been a nightmare. I would rather use JeffTT for work, but he is quite far for such a minor job. I just dont want to go paying 2 or 3 hours labour for such a little job. The car is low mileage with no rust and I think it should be pretty straight forward with the right tools. Anyway, any suggestions would be appreciated. Who does everyone else in the Area use?

Had fun today
Took my car to the garage to get the PAS pipe changed. Garage said leave it with us 2 hours will give you a call when its done. I walked into town for two hours, went back, car was parked up outside and I thought goody :D Went in to pay, and was told sorry we couldnt change the pipe, looks like a specialist job. I thought wtf! they are meant to be a garage, a PAS pipe is a PAS pipe at the end of the day. But what really wound me up was that they left me out in town for two hours, wasting my time - not letting me know they couldnt do the job. Anyway, I went home, took the two left intercooler pipes of, jacked the car up, and couldnt undo the bolt at the end of the pipe! I was on my back and just couldnt get leverage. So after calling no less than 13 garages, one has advised they will have a look on wednesday. I really wanted to get it sorted today. but nevermind. Anyway, I topped up the PAS fluid and went for a drive, it was wet and grey out, but it felt soooo good to drive the Z again. With the PAS fluid topped right up, it seems that the rear twitchiness under light throttle has gone, even in the wet. I didnt take it over 70 today, and was very well behaved, as was the car. I LOVE IT! SO MUCH. Anyway, hopefully get the PAS pipe and exhaust fitted in the next week or so. Just need to get hold of the exhaust courier on monday as they have lost one of the back boxes. Hopefully get that recovered from them this week. But honestly feel nothing else needs doing mechanically. So will start with the restoration soon :D Ryan
