  1. so is this section of manifold for use with an internal wastegate? to seperate turbulance from exhaust gas/wastegate? exhaust gases exit through the larger pipe towards downpipes, and the smaller dumps to atmosphere when gas is regulated by the internal wastegate flap.
  2. i doubt even z1 do the above kit :cool3:
  3. i feel this would be an interesting upgrade... :D :D [video=youtube;-PQ-Yl_t_-E]
  4. 6mm in-line vacuum hose filters for 6mm ID line? got a 4mm for 1 port on my hks evc 3, but need 6mm for ports 2-3.
  5. baz - loving that first shot of yours. i think a little bit of wee came out.
  6. moody urban shot.. if you want it. and give me a copy of the final calendar! :) will it be all 300zx's?
  7. give her some colour ;) if u like that kind of bodykit, it needs colour to show the curves/angles off :) save up for what you really want ;) :) +1 on voddy blue.
  8. or, you relocate your current valves back down under the nose where they wont be seen. i managed to knock up a set of 2x bailey dv26 valves, silicone reducers and straight alloy sections all in for £80 that sit under the nose of mine. not fussed as they're not seen, aslong as they dont leak. plus they are twin piston bovs so do the job nicely.
  9. yea planning on it fella weather permitting. not exactly been great this week so far lol, and it depends if the car is back on friday/I can get there to pick it up.
  10. harby - that conceptsz kit looks like it is still only meant for the original location in front of the aircon rad. i believe you will need hardpipes with built on flanges, as pictured by medallion man.
  11. ok, well shes an auto, has had that idle on 2 different ECU's, the idle isnt lumpy, so i'd be surprised if the timing was an issue, she runs smooth as it gets, doesnt miss a beat. no pinking or the timing related issues that I'm aware of, so probably temp sender or IAA a good place to start. I'm not gonna mess with the TPS at the moment after seeing the cuffudle thats arisen with voddy's although it could be unrelated. i'll read the faq's and thanks for the pointers ;)
  12. not the best pic, but i was forwarded it earlier from the bodyshop. Just about see the area welded on the outer rear quarter.
  13. i'm certain i've got lifter tick.. 200yrds down the road, and its gone. plus the car tends to sit for 1 week or 2 between outings. I used it 2 days on the bounce for the first time ever and she didnt tick at all on day 2. and i also have a weapy crank seal. semi synth coming up then! on a positive note though, the weaping oil is still golden. i'm interested in this high idle fix though? mine tends to sit at 1200rpm no matter what. more info on dedicated cold start unit please?
  14. changing the TPS wouldnt have nackered a resistor somewhere would it? Gutt feeling is this isnt the IAC valve mate. I've had them go before, and the bouncing is more sudden/sharp than the bounce you appear to be getting. This looks like your ecu compensating, then not compensating and so on. was it doing this when you had it mapped by RGS? - - - Updated - - - dyno'd even
  15. well shes gone in to the bodyshop today, touch wood, all good for friday.
  16. it would be too loud lol i can tell you that much :)
  17. wasnt this for sale not long ago? swear i'd seen this on the bay or pistonheads or somewhere?
  18. that is exactly how a zed should be treated ;)
  19. dont tempt me :P i'd probably rather go this way in the long run than go manual maybe. Dont get me wrong, manual IS more fun, but in terms of being plain quick, a rapid auto has gotta be helpful.. plus, i wouldnt have to change my ecu again :P
  20. 1.digital camera 2.register here: http://photobucket.com/ 3.upload the piccies from your camera to photobucket 4.post the link to your new album here. simples ;)
  21. they sound rare. found bits and pieces online but not loads of info. lots of people having trouble with overheating transmissions using them.
  22. sounds like the perfect way of doing things. i wish I had more space to do it! Any pics of all the work thats going on?? nothing like a progress thread to keep the forum ticking over ;)
  23. my brother does mobile paintless dent repair for a living (so yes, the panels on my zed are ripple and dent free :) ), and does a lot of work for the company i'm going to. its been established for years, so i'm quite happy its not some lad in a backstreet with an endless filler supply in his garage lol :D might try and get some progress pics anyway though, just so we can all have a nose. :)
  24. yep! i'd budgeted £300 to get the work done already, MOT early december, so I wanted to get ahead rather than falling over problems when she goes in. Opposite side of the car couldnt be more different. nothing at all. i'm still suspecting targa drain, so will have to rip out the inside of the car at some point to have a look.
