  2. nothing wrong with a nice autoguage ;)
  3. i call mine Audrey, after lead actress in the 1964 film "My Fair Lady" i hope we see the link there ;)
  4. best advice i can give you is do what YOU want with the car.. who cares what anyone else thinks, its your baby! you shouldnt mod to be part of the crowd.. you mod to stand out from the crowd ;) modding.... be individual ;)
  5. glad thats sorted after much reading! I'm still getting to know these engines, and the only thing i could relate to for boosting issues was my RX7 and that turned out to be a simple check valve had a seem split. when it was cold, it was fine, when it was hot, it would expand and leak. ******* to find, car would become hesitant, but only a £10 fix.
  6. that is a real odd one.. i'm going with fuel starvation too though. Had a mondeo diesel that did this and turned out to be the fuel pump. hope its something cheaper mind!
  7. only if I can borrow your "special" thunderbirds outfit... then its a deal :D :D
  8. yip! me and scott with both be coming again. will see if ross fancies it again too. fingers crossed it doesnt become b&q swimming pool with the weather we've been having. look forward to seeing what you've been up to! i dare say there has been an acquisition sir!!
  9. yea how did this pan out fella? just realised i dont have you on facebook either! link me up!
  10. i know which oil pete is on about from asda.. its got a green label and a pretty yellow flower on it. try that. :D
  11. after reading that agl89.. i have the sudden need to buy it and drive around with the thunderbirds theme tune at full tilt.
  12. whats with the AMAZING Burger King colour scheme..? AND i CONSTANTLY need to write things with BIG LETTERS.
  13. where did you get the interior done? or was it DIY.. one hell of a job if it was! my fav interior i think i've seen on a zed.
  14. you should get 3k for that easily. that interior is gorgeous by the way. /want.
  15. and 2x 30mm blanking caps /slaps head!
  16. fitted today, all working properly and sounding mint. bit annoying being an auto that it doesnt blow on gear changes as your foot is still buried in the throttle =/ but i'm a happy bunny! 2x Bailey DV26's 2x 100mm long 35mm OD alloy pipe 2x Silicone reducers 35mm > 25mm 3mm ID vac line + 2x 5mm3mm vac line reducers/connectors 5mm ID vac line (if replacing stock vac hoses) only thing i would suggest with these valves is I had to go down to 3mm ID vac line, then fit a vac line reducer (3mm>5mm) to couple onto the stock vac pipes that are already there, as they are a ******* to get off as you cant get to the passenger side spring clip too easily. and typically... i only had one of these reducers around so ended up modifying a T-piece I had for an old guage and blocking the T. still delighted that lot inc the bovs only came to around £80. RESULT.
  17. if he couldnt see them, then he wouldnt see anything up with the sills lol :D not that there is anything up with the sills nice mr MOT tester man... :shifty:
  18. you could always spray the centre caps a completely different colour if matching is a problem, then get some nice zed decals in the centre ;) give them the anodized look
  19. agreed fella, this must suck balls.. time to look forward though mate instead of looking back! you'll have some decent dollar to put into your next one, plus more spares than zedworld :P and the bits you dont want, you can shift. you might find yourself double stacked on goodies depending what your next one has to offer :) providing you go for another zed! i hope you do :)
  20. that was your reflection you could see ryan ;)
  21. sad to here mate. if you need a hand with anything let me know, i'm off work the rest of this week on leave. got some other bits to do too but could be on hand ;)
  22. yea will do. i've managed to get 2x used DV26 twin piston bovs, 2x silicone reducers, 2x blanking plugs, 2x 35mm ID (100mm long) alloy connector pipes, and 10x new jubilees all for £80. got all hoses/pipes from ASH silicone/AP motor store on ebay. I already have some 4mm+5mm ID vacuum hose but that was only about £2.50 a metre. just the fitting kit from bailey is £80 on ebay... so i'm thinking thats worked out ok, providing everything works. i've got an apexi intake down there which i'm guessing frees up some space. and I had to remove the a/c rad fan to get to the bolts on the back of the original recirc valves. with an extension bar and the fan leant forward, was able to get my ratchet and a 12mm socket on them, just.
  23. yea, havent received the 2nd one yet, but its on its way :) will fit them both at the same time when it arrives and stops pissing down with rain.. as much as that garage door covers when its up, i'm not going for the wet arse crack.
  24. well just knocked this up.. better go see if she works really ;) and yes, i kept the 45º lower elbow thats on the car waiting
