just driven to another garage. quoted £300 inc VAT. Full panel respray and blend. thats more like what I was expecting.

just been quoted £500+vat for rear outer sill weld (got 1" slit/rust coming through underneath), grind out 1" bubble on the upper rear arch and rear quarter panel respray. does this sound excessive or am i being a queen.

well surely it'll shift quicker than we can.. bet installation isnt that bad.. theres a separate ecu for the auto box already.. isnt it an in and out job? with a little loom adjustment. but yea, i would recon the box for sure. the thing i wonder about is if theres any engine breaking once you fit this kit. thats the thing that ticks me off most about my auto zed.

says 9500SEK which is about.. £896. according to the website.

Hi guys, usual rear quarter rust issues. looked underneath the other day, and its coming through on the front edge of the rear quarter. right! audio is here. had to do this on a Dictaphone as the digi camera was terrible, and this only just coped. lol just got back in. will tinker with the videos tomorrow. i've had a quick playback and the lil camera did struggle a touch with the sound mate even with the windows closed, and mine just sounded like it was on mute. i'll see if I can clean it up with a little jiggery pokery. i'll run the same EQ on both clips of mine with no screamers and yours with. you'll just have to wait one more day ;) :)

yea i was gonna say, this must lag to hell.

we could do a run in mine with stock turbos, then a run in yours with the same camera so you get a good idea of the difference peeps :) the noise from that screamer bypassing the exhaust system, plus the noise of the exhaust anyway... i suddenly feel the need to sing "whats that cooooming over the hill?.. is it a monster?.. is it a moooonster???!

yea i did! sorry fella, maybe i didnt reply in my mild rage. not often i get stuck doing a job on a car, so that really hacked me off! It shall be defeated! shes still sat on the ramps, waiting for tomorrow :) then hopefully we can light up wellingborough with the sound of some singing V6's. happy days.

genuinly gobsmacked earlier mate. after having some decent cars, its not very often i'm bowled over... but that sound!!! /want.

i may encourage him next time we go out. i'll bring my camera ;) The car just sounds so much more aggressive than mine. really impressed. couldnt have had mroe issues with mien today if a tried. out of the potential things that could go wrong fitting decats, most of them did. Lost 5 out of 6 studs on the turbo>exhaust manifold where the downpipes are meant to be mounted, the triangular gaskets i received for a 300zx, dont fit a 300zx, and the car is now sat on ramps with no exhausts and id ont have any hss drill bits to drill new clearance holes. ANGRY! at least wills motor cheered me up slightly :)
