i've ordered the caps for where the recirc pipe used to go back into the inlet and have gone for 30mm which i thought might have even been slightly too big?? I'm trying to suss out the pipe leading to the valve (from below), not the pipe that did come away from it :) the valves lower OD i'd say is 35mm>37mm with swaged edge so i've gone for 35 and rely on a little stretch if required ;)

sod it.. gone for 35mm OD aluminium straight connector, then 35mm>25mm silicone straight reducer for the BOV. All ordered, fingers crossed!

reckon it could even be 35mm without the swaged end... can anyone clear this up?!

i could have gone for the fk57 fitting kit which is £70ish on ebay. BUT, i've bought 2 used Bailey DV26 bovs, and including the 45º reducers i'll be all in for £80. i can live with that ;)

exactly what I did in the end, got a pile of jubilee clips waiting to go on. nice and easy to get to the bolt on the back of the recirc valve eh?! removed the air con rad fan to do it in the end :) gonna get some 45º reducing elbows 38mm(or 36 :P :P) > 25mm and mount them that way :) depending if i find out what ID they are!!

as above^ I had them off today.. and I cant make my mind up if its 36mm or 38mm.. as i need to order a reducer for the dv26s I have on the way. P.s. i didnt realise what a shit these things were to get off lol. Dear Nissan, thanks for using the worst clips you could find.

fantastic car, such a shame you're selling. i know your pain! i REALLY didnt want to sell my RX7 last year and had no choice. i got £4200 for her and it wasnt as sharp as your baby. you should easily get 6k, but you might have to play a waiting game. pistonheads probably a good bet.

whip off the nose panel an have a look. :) i think if you remove the inlet pipes too they're not to difficult to get to. I've had a nose at my stock valves, its a straight forward enough job. and as to whether they need adjusting, it depends what they've come off i guess, but from my own experience, i doubt you'll have to change anything.

so what does yours sound like? especially if you have a decat japspeed system.. interested to see just how loud it is. currently have a japspeed catback system fitted... cant help but feel is a tad quiet though :shifty: had a blitz nurspec on my rx7, and it eclipsed my 300 even though the RX still had cat + pre-cat fitted.

i can vouch that the damage is worse than it looks in the pics.. had the pleasure of meeting ian last night, and the poor old girl has had a proper wallop! the alignment is shagged. fingers crossed it all gets sorted swiftly mate. exhaust had also moved hadnt it ian? again, she needs some love! then she can rule the roads again :)
