  1. OK Ian no probs :thumbup1:
  2. I spotted that the guys on the ZClub have a decent turnout going to the Classic and Performance Car Spectacular & Cheshire Auto Jumble at Tatton Park. May31st/June1st, including some 300ZXs Now I have my car back I've asked if I can tag along with them on the Sunday (1st June) and wondered if anyone else from here would be interested in joining - assuming RichieP who is organising the meet can still get us exhibitor passes So if anyone else want's to come along on either day then let me know and I'll try to get us added Rich
  3. OK guys I am about to order the passes for the Trentham show - so if you want to come along and are not already on the list, now is the time to get your name down Trentham Classic Car Show Sunday 15th June ----------------------------------------------- dicky96 Ian Greenfield 300ZX_666 mark300zx cheshire300zx gray candy red (280zx) Rob Gaskin (240Z) richieP (S30 Fairlady Z)
  4. I'd just like to let you all know I actually have my car back on the road again!! I'm sure many of you are familiar with the issues I have had for many months. That's the first time she's been on the road at all since October and the first time she has run properly since the engine swap last May In fact I will go as far as to say it's the first time the car has ever run and handled anything like properly since I bought her in 2011 Lots and lots to say but the main things I guess are Fitted 'Yellow Jacket' coil packs Fitted the GTX2860r turbos :w00t: Fitted 600cc Injectors from PFI in Canada - and they are Red yyayy!! Fitted the Zeta-R coilovers and adjustable tensioner arms supplied by MeisterR when we had that group buy last year Lots an lots of other issues resolved - like I had two broken rear springs for example and some nastily worn steering component (ball joint or something like that, can't quite remember what it was called but Lee Dent would tell you) Other than that the oil leak on the rocker covers was finally fixed (and some polished covers fitted at the same time) A very nasty oil leak around the oil-tree basically caused by old botched jobs (probably historic issues that have been there for a long time) New coil pack and injector harness connectors, LOTS of worn out hoses replaced with nice new red ones, oil lines, vacuum leaks fixed, missing bolts, missing hose clips, crossthreaded bolts, metal swarf, some horrendous gaskets..... guys the list goes on and on Anyway she's back on the road and I can honestly say my car now sounds, drives and handles like a completely different car! Currently I'm running a base map from Noz that means she runs OK on the new turbos/injectors but is not optimised for them Oh and the icing on the cake she MOTed first time with no advisories! I just want to say HUGE thanks to Mr Lee Dent for sorting all this out after Silverline Racing ceased to trade and were unable to finish the job they had started (big thanks to Steve at Silverline though for recommending me to fit GTX2860s) So that's my Zed back on the road for the summer On the todo list: Get car remapped (soon as Noz is free so hopefully next week or two) Fit a series 2 PTU (does anyone have one for sale?) Later in the year Fit performance rad (I already have a suitable electric fan) Fit a performance FMIC - plenty room behind the large scoop on my front bumper esp as now the aircon has been deleted Fit AMS Manifolds Longer term Get my other engine stripped and look towards rebuilding that one with forged components But for now - know what, I just want to enjoy driving her  Rich
  5. Those banners look the dogs danglies :thumbup1: I'm really sorry I couldn't make it guys - would have been there if I could.
  6. Hi Lex 300zx Hey another Zed in the best colour for a Zed!!! (apart from Red of course which is also the best colour) Shame I didn't get to see you at the show too, was meant to be there but my car has been SORN since November and despite some heroic efforts will not be back on the road until next week Anyway maybe you would like to come along in June and exhibit at the next show big in the Midlands area - Trentham Gardens Stoke On Trent. Or maybe the Peak Run round Derbyshire the following weekend http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?176023-June-Events-Trentham-Gardens-amp-The-Peak-Run Would be great to have another fine example of a White Zed there! Rich
  7. Sorry to say my car just wasn't ready in time - despite the best efforts of Lee Dent an unforseen problem cropped up But I hope you all had a good day out, and thanks Ian for holding the fort this time Rich
  8. I finished off the Throttle cover by added something a little illuminating First picture is unpowered second one is powered up Pics didn't come out too well on the camera - the illuminated writing as Red not White I can make these in any base colour you like, plus either carbon weave or micro carbon weave. Weave colours are generally black silver or gold over a base colour Non Illuminated V6 3000 decal can be any colour as can the NISSAN decal. Also you can have your own text on the V6 3000 Decal, for example your forum name or whatever Illuminated V6 3000 panels I can do in either Aqua Blue (Tron) Blue White Red Orange Pink Green Purple Anyone interested then Throttle cable covers Aquaprinted with Nissan Decal in your choice of colour £35 Same as above with resprayed and lettered V6 3000 £40 As above with illumunated V6 3000 lettering £70 If you want Fuse box covers (the large one and the smaller one) , Reservoir botttle covers, or even the viscous fan dipping to match (and maybe some other bits as well) , then ask Anyway I hope you like these pics - they don't come out so well on the camera as they look in real life of course Rich

  17. Hmmm from the lack of response I wonder if anyone can make anymore sense of this than I could?
  18. Hi guys n gals I bought some 600cc Injectors from PFI in Canada that are supposed to be a direct fit for my fuel rails They came with some adapter collars for earlier series Zeds (which is mine) However Lee Dent says that they will not fit because my car as the earlier type injector caps and I need the newer type Quite honestly though Lee has described as best he can I can't quite figure which bit I need but here are two pics he sent - the first pic looks to me like one of the injectors I bought with the adapter collar fitted - the second one (the little flat thing) is apparently what I need - he calls it an Injector Cap Can anyone help? Does anyone have any? Does it have a nissan part number? They only look like little bits. nothing to techy or expensive cheers Rich
  19. I now have in my hands 10 passes for this show There are 9 that were definites on the list iangreenfield (sunday) dicky96 (sunday) roobarb (sunday) sayers (sunday) kjz32 (sunday) mark300zx (sunday) keymeister (sunday) markderby (sunday) silverline (sunday) Could all on this list please let me know if you are still attending, otherwise I can offer your passes to others if they are interested There is one pass currently spare if someone wants that cheers Rich
  20. Well I should have my car back next week so why not  I'm a bit suprised no one fancies the Peak Run yet (apart from Ian and Me) should be a damn good day out in the Zeds....
  21. OK I worked it out now - if anyone wants one, they will be £35 (you supply the throttle cover and pay postage) Mostly I have noticed the 'V6 3000 24V' strips are a bit knackered and scratched up - they look OKish until you put them back on a nicely dipped throttle cover - and then they dont! If you want the V6 strip respraying and re-lettering then that is an extra £5 - you can have the 'V6 strip' lettering (and/or background) and the 'Nissan' lettering any pretty much any colour you want - including silver, chrome, gold..... I am also gonna try and do a version of this which uses an EL panel to illuminate the lettering on the V6 strip, with the wiring running through a small hole and underneath the throttle cover - I don't know how well that will come out as I need to order the stuff and experiment a bit. If it does come out looking good the total price with the backlit lettering will probably be around £70 How's that sound? Rich
  22. Let me just go get a price on the lettering as this one was done as a one off then i can tell you Here is an example of some different colours with the same weave. There are also other weaves in gold, silver etc as well as different textures of weave The lettering could be other colours too So I'll go figure a price while, you figure what colours you want :cool3: It would also be good to dip things like the fuse box cover, power steering reservoir cover, oil filler cap and various other caps in the same colour/weave - I could quote for a whole set of bits-n-bobs if I know what you want doing Rich
  23. OK here is another item we did - what do you think? This can be done in a variety of colours and weaves. We have played with some other non-Z items and discovered that black weave over bronze background looks very nice  What looks like a bit of bubbling towards the bottom right is just the daylight reflecting off a slight imperfection in the Throttle Cable cover itself - you can't actually see that in real life If anyone is interested give me a shout. Rich
  24. I think the major differences are tax status and the fact there is no time limit on a CFD I found this link quite educational and the video was pretty good too CFD trading (and spread betting?) seems to have it's own terminology like going long (buying something you think will go up in price and then selling) and going short (selling something you don't actually own that you think will go down then buying it back when it does - making the difference in profit) If you don't mind me asking, how long have you been spread betting, do you do it part time and do you make (or lose) significant amounts of money? Rich http://www.bullbearings.co.uk/traders.views.php?gid=4&id=32 PS cheers for the thumbs up on IG
