  1. White is the best, mod please close we're done here :tt2:
  2. Possibly similar to race engines sounding horrible at idle due to massive valve overlap that only comes into it's own at high revs. NASCAR sprint cars look very uncomfortable behind the pace car!
  3. Yea I wouldn't think a low battery would cause it not to fire, it just wouldn't turn
  4. Whilst I personally don't really have much of a problem with how the cars were picked given the timescales, I think I understand Chris' annoyance. The club does come across as a little cliquey at times and I don't think this situation has helped that impression. And I must say I don't think it's fair to lambaste him for trying to say that. But hey live and learn, just something to remember for the future I guess. I would also add, and I think I've said this before, I think it's foolish to rely on forum threads for things like this. If you want club members to receive important information, I think emails should be sent out alerting them to the situation and the relevant thread for discussion.
  5. Define "genuine" and "knock-off", they're hardly a premium brand!
  6. I've got the XTD stage 3 TT clutch and flywheel. I haven't driven any other (not slipping) clutches so can't really compare for you, but I can say I have no problem with mine. It can be a bit juddery around town but you quickly learn how it likes to be driven, and I can't say it's ever bothered me for a second. Very pleased for the price
  7. Looks amazing :thumbup1:
  8. Nice, what exactly was it you had to do? What do you mean by code?
  9. Yea it does look a bit like a tractor on those wheels, probably fun to drive though
  10. Very nice! Bit pricey though? Sounds like he's trying to reclaim his money... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/152296147522
  11. Maybe you disturbed some wire and it thinks it's getting tampered with
  12. Reading my post back I didn't make it clear what I meant, I meant disconnecting the battery. So try disconnecting the battery with the alarm disarmed. A simple thing of course but thought it worth mentioning just in case. Now I think of it I had something similar before, couldn't get the immobiliser to let me start it no matter what I tried. It was disconnecting the battery that solved that
  13. I've had alarms go crazy in the past if they're disconnected with the alarm armed. Once reconnected it went off loads and there wasn't much pattern to it. So maybe try disconnecting it again with the alarm disarmed and reconnect it again. I assume you tried locking and unlocking? Resets them I think.
  14. Interior is a big reason I fell in love with these cars over other similar cars of the era. Yes I love the exterior of course, but some of the others are hideous inside Supra looks like a bloody bus!
  15. Well it's your time not mine, sounds like a complete waste of effort to me. I don't even know how you would drill a nut off, sounds mental to me and God know what damage you could do if it slips off or whatever
  16. Erm I've literally already answered this.... nut splitter. Don't know what you mean by a drill will do fine, they do not do the same thing at all! Clue to what they do is kinda in the name, you can split the nut clean in two in about 2 minutes so it will just fall off, and it won't even damage the stud thread. I believe this is exactly what you're looking for?! Particularly useful for ball joint nuts when you can't stop it spinning (and the new joint comes with a nut!) I can't believe I ever didn't have one
  17. http://www.toolstation.com/shop/p80007?mkwid=s3Z3fpJI3_dm&pcrid=142461465581&pkw=&pmt=&product=80007&gclid=Cj0KEQjwqMHABRDVl6_hqKGDyNIBEiQA
  18. You need a nut cracker my friend! They're amazing and cheap!
  19. Good to see you've kept your chin up and am getting on with things! Love your wheels so that's at least something!
  20. Why is this thread empty?!? :devil2:
  21. Sounds like you aren't really talking about a "full" shell swap like I think a lot of others think you are. What you're planning sounds like a good idea if there's a certain number of parts on your current car you really want to keep. But I personally wouldn't be looking to change more than that, just not worth it from a time point of view let alone money. That means getting a decent car to begin with mind so still not going to be cheap.
  22. Take the ******* to a small claims court if he doesn't refund you
  23. Yea that really sucks, hope you're not too out of pocket!
  24. Could it not be that the prop is correctly balanced and they're using it to tune out a vibration from something else? You said they take the measurements on the car right?
