  1. There is also an initiation trial where you're tied naked to the bonnet of a Zed and driven through traffic during rush hour.
  2. The front reminds me of the Probe.
  3. I think its the sticker reference number. Me thinks some crazy person had some Zed wheels, a few cans of purple paint and a lot of Fender stickers from somewhere. They somehow thought (perhaps one drunken night) that it would be a good idea to combine all three in attempt to make some money somehow.
  4. I don't get it - I mean what's a guitar got to do with a wheel?! It's a horrible design. Purple wheels would likely only work with a black car too. These are nasty. I am disgusted on several different levels! lol
  5. I was unknowingly missing a fuse (room light fuse) which caused weird random electrical probelms for me. I still find it weird that NOT having a fuse in could cause so many weird problems. But yeah, check your fuse box isn't soaked from the drain pipe. I thought this was my problem, but pulled the fuse box out and it was dry.
  6. That would be great!! So basically I can just strip the leather skin off and put mine on? I'll look into couriers, it might be too heavy for Parcel Force, I was surprised how heavy it was when I got it out. You may have just saved me from painful back problems! :)
  7. Thanks, that sounds like a plan, but think I'll have to wait for payday! :)
  8. I WD40'd mine...no difference. Turns out the passenger lock doesn't work either, so I think I've had a new drivers lock and ignition fitted at some point. I haven't got the old key for the passenger and boot locks. Annoying having to open the boot from inside if youre already outside.
  9. My pack came today, didn't know what it was, a mysterious hand written envelope that rattled. Got all excited when opened it and discovered what it was. lol
  10. Ok, my drivers seat it twisting my spine and poking me in the right kidney! I had the seat out of the car at the weekend and noticed the back rest part is twisted to the left, pointing me towards the centre console. Also, there's something hard poking at me from the right bolster. The seat doesn't go up and down either, something is mechanically broken. I was just living with this for the time being. So, I wondered how easy it is to strip the seat to the skeleton and foam then replace broken parts and rebuild? I'd also remove whatever is poking me. I've noticed lots of seat parts on ebay. It would be easier just to get a new seat I guess, but they don't usually come in singles and they weigh a bit, so wont be cheap to courier. Replacement seat funds don't currently exist as I just spent money on discs, pads, shims and a caliper....oh and a spoiler, a knob too. So I'm kinda poor right now, hence trying to fix it.
  11. The boot light works, fogs are still dead, but not really a priority tbh. Alarm seems ok so far! :)
  12. You may remember this some time ago. Well, I recently pulled my fuse box out, expecting it to be soaking due to targa drain problems, however it was bone dry, but it ruled this out at least. However I noticed I was 3 fuses short compared to the Japanese fusebox translation. One of course being the 'room lamp' fuse! (Other two were diff oil pump and T/M oil pump). I had always thought the interior lights were on the same circuit as the main lights (3rd in on the bottom I thought), which was fine. Anyway I went out, not really expecting much, figured I must have already tried this, but stuck a fuse in the first bottom (room lamp) slot and heard a chime, a chime of joy no less! I didn't even know I was meant to have a door ajar chime! This filled me with hope. I reconnected the courtesy light (as I'd disconnected it) and it lit up!! Joyous light of courtesy-ness I cried! I reconnected the map lights up, they came on too!! I was very excited by these events, when I got out the car and discovered my ariel was up!!! The clock seems to be working and no longer goes off when opening the passenger door. There is no longer a door ajar light flickering on and off on the dashboard (so far), more importantly it doesn't come on and off with the interior light switches. The alarm might be working properly too. So it seems not having a fuse in can cause all manner of weired problems! For me at least. I don't think fog lights are on this circuit, but I'm going to go out now to check anyway. I think fog light wiring was interfered with when the headlights were rewired from the pod, but you never know. I'm going to open the boot too, just to see it light up! Have to admit I feel a bit silly....all this though a fuse. I also never expected such weird problems to be caused by a missing fuse either... If I hadn't pulled the fuse box out who knows how much longer this would have went on for. The futures bright...the future has interior illumination!
  13. After pulling the seat out and removing the accelerator pedal, bonnet release and the trim (thanks to Jeff TT's guide) I went about removing the fuse box, in a hope to solve my electrical issues by fixing the drain line.... However, the fuse box was bone dry...even dusty... ...but at least I've ruled this out as a problem. Ok, first off I think I'm missing a couple fuses, based on other pics I've seen of the fuse box, but this might be for things I don't have (i.e HICAS and Cruise). I did find this plug, it looks like it used to be attached to something, I really want to plug it into something, but after a dig around there isn't anywhere to plug it. Does anyone else have this loose plug? I also discovered this thick orange wire thats been spliced into, running along side the sill, any ideas what its for? I guess I can just follow it, see where it goes. Finally, this is the main thing, the red wire has been snipped, its from one of the long plugs that plugs into the fuse box at the top. I found the other end too, going back into the loom. I think this has something do do with my poor headlight rewiring job, but anyone know what its for? Long shot I know! I appreciate anything anyone can tell me. Cheers!
  14. I read in a cone filter guide (http://s95014253.onlinehome.us/63104/80397.html), that after fitting; air can enter the cone into the MAF with weird turbulence, causing the MAF to read the airflow incorrectly causing running problems. It was suggested that deflecting the air away from the bottom of the cone would cure the problem. I think this biscuit tin lid is for that purpose, though doesn't need to be a cup shape which can hold water. Drill a drain hold in it I guess....
  15. Replaced mine in my N/A with a cheap cone filter, but it was simply because I knew the filters hadnet been changed in forever... The throttle response seemed better afterwards, but the panels were way overdue a change, so could have been that... http://300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?p=1475520#post1475520 The air box is a weird shape, I can image it being restrictive, its also extra weight. I'm happier with it it off, but thats just me.
  16. Glacier Pearl is white, it seems! http://t3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcSlKYvx3r5-VhYe53paHsEKZvZG-nPhv6rjt5zVX5J5EUXIri_nvQ I think you want KL0.
  17. Yep KL0, Silver Ice Metallic, same here, though depending on who makes the paint depends on the name, it varies. As yours is 90, could be different, try this, KH6 Glacier Pearl maybe? - http://www.automotivetouchup.com/choosecolor/choosecolor.aspx?year=1990&make=Nissan&model=300zx&search.x=61&search.y=1 All Silver Zed I've seen seem to be the same...
  18. If only there were a way to combine the two....hmmmm
  19. LOL, Yeah, I'll try at the weekend, plus it will be interesting to see how loud it is as a bystander. :donatello:
  20. Do you have Flash Player installed?
  21. I was looking for Zeds on the news too...didn't see any though.
  22. Yeah, when I had a V6 Probe with a cold air induction kit fitted the engine sounded great, such a throaty roar, I would turn off the headunit to listen to it! I'm yet to hear the engine over the exhaust in my Zed. So hopefully a nice surprise awaits!
  23. Right I see, I was looking at bike bungs. I guess I need these - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/EXHAUST-BUNG-SILENCER-SOUND-RESONATOR-115mm-db-killer-/250717678707?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3a5ff02c73#ht_2148wt_905
  24. RichardSmith, yeah, that sounds like a perfect setup, sounds really nice. I know what you mean about Saxo's...and Corsa's...then there's this Clio around here who will eventually kill someone the way he speeds constantly around the estate... Coolq, I like the sound of this, looking at them now. Maybe a stupid question but how does the exhaust gas escape with a bung stuck up the pipe?
