02 Sensor replacement and improvement
I didn't notice after I did my Probe.

02 sensor checking
I really need to get the passenger floor up and pull codes, see if anything is flagged up. I'd replace the plugs too (I do need to anyway) but I really don't see it making any real difference to the fuel consumption, unless a plug is fried, but I'd have noticed. There is a smell of petrol around the near side rear wheel, but apparently the petrol filler ventilation comes out there, so....

02 Sensor replacement and improvement
I changed mine on my V6 Probe, the problem was more about getting to the sensor and getting a spanner on, changing of the sensor is the easy bit. Universal ones need to be wired in, you have a positive, negative and sometimes a heater wire which warms the plug beofre the engine and exhaust warms it. Though I do remember needing a 22mm ring spanner that I had to cut in half as there wasnt room to get the whole length in. The sensors (or at least one of them) on the Zed look a lot easier to get at, so hopefully pie on the Zed... :)

02 sensor checking
Hey, Coolq - did you ever solve this? Grimmer - Yep, I'm getting about the same MPG as you from my NA, the thought of getting 300 as mentioned above somewhere seems optimistic if not unbelievable. I'll get 200 miles out of a tank at best. Haven't tested anything yet, but have replaced the air box and old clogged up filters...

Clutch Slave cylinder
I think its possible to replace the entire pipe with flexi pipe, direct from the master to the slave. 30651 is the flexi pipe on the standard setup (this is NA, but you get the idea) -

Stereo : No need for external antenna
I found this whilst installing my headunit, thought it was some kind of 12v supply for the original radio so taped it up and tucked it away. LOL

Air box was a pain to get out, bolted down everywhere, even to the splash shield. Old filters were nasty, clogged up with all kinds of things - New filter and adaptor - Tight fit - Any idea what these are? Found them in the bottom right side of the bumper - My Zed is a lot more responsive now, feeling good! :)

Another targa drain tech
Really useful! I'm now wondering if water is causing my random electrical problems, I have had wet carpets and coolant is always full, so not the matrix. Where should the exit be for the pipes, if for example I squirted WD40 down the roof drain holes, where should I be looking for it coming out, door post area I guess?

I learnt something new today
I'm with Adrian Flux, had to cancel my previous insurance with SwiftCover when I bought my Zed as they wouldn't cover an import. I'm 32, cost £490 with 9 years NCB, NA Fairlady Manual.

Rear spoiler inside out tech
Couldn't see the pics when I posted at work earlier and wow, I got off light compared to those pics. That really is serious.

No clutch pedal.
I had the same problem. The seals had gone on my master clutch cylinder and it was leaking inside the car, in the drivers foot-well. No fluid will cause the pedal to flop, might not be the master, could be leaking at the slave cylinder, or somewhere along the pipe. NA's just connect to the pedal, Turbo's have a bunch of other stuff and a booster that joins at the pedal. http://300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=145138&highlight=master+clutch+cylinder For the NA a new one is £80. You can't seem to get replacement seal kits any longer. It's a fiddly job getting the cylinder out, if you can disconnect the pipe then it will be a a lot easier, but no such luck for me.

Thundercats Ho!
If you're into the non pornographic anime, then you need to watch Ghibli anime, thats nice.... definitely no tentacles! :) Start with Howls Moving Castle, one of the best.

Thundercats Ho!
Would you believe I slipped and fell, accidentally starting some hentai on my PC, then on rushing to stop it I became entangled in my mouse cable and was unable to move...so had no choice but to watch for several hours until I eventually passed out... :whistling:

Thundercats Ho!

Thundercats Ho!
Yeah it was given many names in the UK and US. In Japan its called Gatchaman. This might excite you, just a Japanese advert from a few years back.
