  1. Has the new pump been fitted correctly ? , by that I mean with attention to length ( not bottoming out in the tank and preventing a proper seal etc, and not too short so it does not use the full fuel capacity of the tank) , and position in the tank and ensuring it is sealed?. what is the fuel pressure at idle ?

  5. hmmm, no cable from my selector up to the ignition barrel, mine had a small solenoid on it

  17. you need to get your testers out and find which wire goes live when you put the ignition on and the light switch turned to the first stage ( sidelight, ) or read the schematics and narrow it down , its not hard just take your time and work through them methodically, So for clarity ring each wire on each connector looking for the wire that reads zero with the light switch off and 12 v with the light switch on, then tap into that for your live and run the ground to anywhere that will give a good ground on the body of the car,

  22. just working through the cruise system to try and find my fault , my car is a series 2 auto, I have two switches on the break pedal , one white one black, when testing for continuity on the bench they work opposite to each other, one is NO and the other NC Is this correct or should they both be NC when mounted, and the break pedal is in its normal return position. ( so the switch plunger is depressed). anyone got a Scooby ?
