  1. Keep it auto, get it tuned by NOZ and fit and ALC line converter , will be mega quick, and a dream to drive a lazy style car
  2. as you have seen prices vary, I would expect 5 K for a half way decent machine and a fair bit more for something sexy ,
  3. And a rebuild , if your lucky will cost 2 K, and that's before the dreaded upgrade bug bites your ass. So the wise move ( for most anyway) is to bide your time , choose a known forum car and minimise the risks that come with a 20 odd year old car
  4. walk away or be prepared to dig v deep , and v often, plus loose your sanity , blood sweat and tears,
  5. I had a chap in bridgnorth do mine , ill try and dig his details out , be very wary of doing it yourself.

  7. yep , for me it was not possible to remove the clamp that secures the loom without completely removing the aircon matrix and all associated parts behind the glovebox, I understand people have done it with it in place but for the life of me I cannot see how, have a chat with Mark Derby I believe he has done it that way , other than that its a case of taking your time , clever people do it in a day , I took my time and did it over a few days
  8. first question , do you have your aircon fitted and do you want to retain it ? or are you happy to disconnect it and recharge the system at a later date

  10. i used cable from a normal amp install kit , its heavy gauge stuff

Hi , I have a second amp which I want to install in order to power x 2 rear speakers, the amp currently installed is dedicated to running the single sub, is it correct to take a live feed from the existing amp and connect it straight to the second unit , or is there a more appropriate way of powering the second amp? cheers Sayers

  13. exactly when and under what conditions are you getting nil oil pressure, to me that really does not sound good,
  14. Oil pressure looks fine to me , the chap in the you tube clip had zero oil pressure. Im sure someone clever will be along to confirm though
  15. Hi, does anyone know if it is possible to swap the series 2 steering wheel factory fitted with an airbag , for another more modern wheel still with an airbag form another vehicle , if so what steering wheels complete with airbag are a direct fit , Any ideas cheers Sayers

  21. Okay all, just to update, I took a gas strut from a 2006 Mercedes Kompressor bonnet, installed it today, job done. so if anybody else needs to do a quick conversion you now know what to look for.
