Hi can anyone confirm the ID of the rubber pipes that connect to the jap spec engine oil cooler, and whether the actual cooler fitteded to a jap spec differs to that fitted to a uk spec car. Thanks Sayers

yes , you will need to drill a hole in the cluster at the top to get at the potentiometer , if I get back in good time ill take a pic of mine tomorrow and post it up

seems another order will be required of CPZ, my loom was about 750 dollars with import and a series 2 PTU

i had exactly the same, I ended up putting in a new loom , series 2 ptu, new plugs , new maf, that cured it , so would suggest you start with the cheapest of these and work upwards, I also checked the TPS voltage, each coil pack voltage, each injector voltage, water temp sensor. think that's about it. good luck

okay , noticed an odd thing , drove home from work tonight and no 3rd gear or overdrive, parked up went into shops ,came out started car and all gears had retuned , no issues at all went for a long drive all was good, parked up again , and when i returned to the car a second time it had lost 3rd and overdrive again, so i stopped , turned ignition on and off and lo and behold all was returned to full working order again , So the question , wtf is going on , is my box on borrowed time , is my box ecu buggered or am i missing something ? I have noted the power light sometimes flashing 10 times when the ignition is turned on , any body out their able to guide as i dont want to rip it out unless i really need to . cheers Sayers 07929 159828

Are NA and TT autoboxes directly interchangeable? i.e same ecu , wiring , etc etc ,

done the auto diagnostics and get , one long flash, space then 2 quick flashes, space 7 quick flashes then back to one long flash, any ideas

For this that know me , they will know this year has not been a good year with the Zed, all last night however was well, engine knock had been resolved and the car was performing well. Too well it would seem because this morning the ****er decided it was time to no longer change up from second into Third or engage overdrive, pulling away from a dead stop needed lots of revs and time enough to grow a beard, now at xmas time i had a full service on the box including new filter so i know their is no need to change that. i guess its new box time unless there is a fuse i can check , raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah
