  1. yellow 300zx with a 'meccano style' spoiler on the Mt Hooly roundabout abt 4pm the day anyone on here no?
  2. keep changing the oil and servicing it till it starts chapping like a bolt in a bean can. then replace it, youl soon know when it needs doing. if it runs smooth at the minute then itl likely be good, most Z's on here will be well over 100,000 miles so i wouldnt worry about it for a while yet. good luck, hope it turns out alright at the weekend Fraser
  3. yes i agree, if the ecu doesnt know the ecu is cranking because it isnt sensing movement from the cas then it will not switch the fuel pump relay. the pump will prime when the ignition is turned on, but this is a timed feature of the ecu and does it on power up. by the sounds of it, i would doubt if you have done any damage to the pump by bypassing the relay.
  4. those boys rock, saw them at Crail one max power day top class!
  5. just replaced the crappy horns with two tone ones of a landrover discovery that ive got in my field. sounds immense now!! every one should change their horn if they havnt already! oh and i found that the I/C wasnt just a little burst, it was totally crushed and leaking like hell! and its been like that since i got it so that should make a power of difference now when i get a spare one in! all that metered air was just blowing out so the mixture would be well rich. explains why its always been a little sluggish on the boot!
  6. i didnt fit that bumper mate it came from Japan the indicators were foglights when it was imported, so they are halogen lamps. they were painted orange and wired to the indicator by what ever nob end imported it so all the wiring is strip and twisted. i took the bumper off yesterday to sort the butchered wiring out properly, replace the I/C and fix the speed bump cracks on it. i will take pics of the lights and the bracket if it helps, its not a difficult job.
  7. im thinking abt getting a std bumper to keep as a spare, so i can take it on the rolling road and an MOT cos at the minute its just to damn low and im worried the tester wont get it on his ramps or on the rollers to test the brakes. i have a jap tt auto, but what differences are between the jap and uk cars? is it the light clusters just? can i fit a uk bumper onto my car if i redo the wiring? Fraser
  8. awesome! looks good folks, wish i had mine on the road or id have been down. and due to the arse falling out the G/box in the GTti i couldnt make it in that either, catch up with you all soon tho, its nearly ready for the road again! 'bout time too! Fraser
  9. is this the proper one or just one that fits? i need to get one for mine, but im not convinced the one thats in it is the right one.
  10. what about a dodgey earth? but id tend to go along with a dead solenoid.
  11. or go to the breakers with a pair of side cutters and yank a pile off. then solder them on. just make sure u get ones with the notch in the correct side. ul get them for thruppence. thats what i did, dont even think i got charged in fact
  12. shaggin and going out on the razz
  13. yes, as soon as the yellow connector (i think) for the fan temp sender is disconnected the fan comes on regardless of enginetemp
  14. ive heared people mentioning that these ebay pipes are poor fitting and bad quality. but its not that hard to bend a pipe and weld 2 flanges on. anyone had experience with these guys? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/90-96-NISSAN-300ZX-TURBO-STAINLESS-STEEL-DE-CAT-EXHAUST_W0QQitemZ8036209987QQcategoryZ38786QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Cheers, Fraser

  18. yup Mike at camskill is a legend. he'l sort you out with spares too if you ask him. he can get spares for all jap cars. the only place i can get bits for the Charade GTti
