Bigger BHP, but knowing where the limits are?
when it runs lean and you cant increase the fueling any more because your at 100% duty cycle the injectors are maxed. when the mixture is rich at high load/boost/rpm and you cant wind the boost any higher then the turbos havnt got the volume. there are a few calculators can give you a rough idea: http://dairally.net/daihard/chas/MiscCalculators/DaiFuelinject.htm http://dairally.net/daihard/chas/MiscCalculators/DaiTurbo.htm courtesy of Chas at Diahard.org hope this helps

i see you get dynamic and carbon seals, what ones would be the better replacement? surely a carbon seal cand support much end float so would i need that along with a 360deg thrust bearing as well? http://www.gpopshop.com/garrettt2kits.html

Another decatt poll
if the cats are just masking the smoke, it makes you wonder how many folks turbos were blown before they de-catted
-
T28's
ive just bought 2 T28s and an ecu with a chip that says 460hp. will theses turbos have uprated seals that will be ok to run when de-catted. and also how much are recon seal kits for them before i stick them on? cheers Fraser

Engine Blew on the M3 Motorway Last night!
see by the colour of the rod it looks like its been running dry for a while. its all blued round the journal and the small-end has torn its self apart too. possibly the nuts have come loose and dropped the oil pressure across the crank. but id have thot ud have heard some warning first, like knocking for a good few miles. is that the oil return hose thats torn? it might have decided to empty the sump first and ran dry with no warning. for whatever reason, im sorry to hear of your catastrophic failure, its a total bin job. no smokey
put the cats back in. if back boxes generated enough back pressure to stop the seals going then there wouldnt be a problem youd be as well taking a section of exhaust and crimping it in the vice.

no smokey
cherry bombs have probably got the LEAST back preassure out of any silencer ive ever seen.
