  1. I did this yesterday with the lady pushing the pedal. I'd recommend getting one of those bleeders with a one-way valve. Then you can just open the bleeder and pump the pedal until the air is out. Got to mind the reservoir level though ;-)
  2. I've ran straight pipe on a L28et turbo with over 270000km's on it. It's still running strong. I've ran straight pipes on CA engine with T25s, t28s. Straight pipe on a rb25det turbo. Never has anything failed. The only turbo failure I've had was a t25 with a stock exhaust :-))
  3. Today I got around to fitting the right side split downpipe. After that I changed the brake fluid after my braided line install and changed the clutch fluid. Then went for a test drive! Oh My God! What a difference, spoolup is so much faster. Can't wait to crank up the boost some to take advantage of the catback and smics :-D
  4. 15£ and it holds boost? Sounds cheap and I have blown an engine with a cheap mbc before so I'm sceptical of those. No problems with the more expensive ones like Forge and such though.
  5. Hence the boost gauge, if it spikes they're out. It's just temporary, going away Saturday on a trackday so will be having access to 98 fuel. They'll need to be removed once I get home cause I don't dare to do this on 95. I'm saving up for nistune and ebc but I got two kids, three cars and two motorbikes so it's always a battle between who gets what upgrades :-P
  6. I know, but I believe the stock fueling is adequate for about 0.9 bar of boost? My previous Z was running something like that for years without any ecu tune. Stock Nissan fueling on turbomaps tend to the be a good bit on the overly rich side
  7. So now I've installed a catback and z1 intercoolers, and I'm currently installing split downpipes. So with those mods is it safe to run 0,9mm welding tips if I run 98octane fuel? I also have a boost gauge so I can check boost level. I do believe my previous Z had boost jets installed without running any ecu mods...
  8. Swapped all the brake lines and one downpipe. One down, one to go!
  9. Haha. Uhm, the sound is a bit deeper, bit more "burble", not very loud, just a tiny bit more than stock. So to be honest I was a bit underwhelmed as I thought it would be much louder from the videos and the one I heard live last year, but all those had full turbo back exhaust with no resonators
  10. It's a billyboat 2,5" catback system :-)
  11. It's for the climate control ecu, so it knows when to give the AC some extra beans
  12. Haha, well I can't say it's been overworked up here either :-D
  13. It's not, it's a sun sensor
  14. Did you loosen the two bolts behind the pulley? I dont know if it had anything to do with it but I saw this post on the Australian 300zx club where they loosened it. I also unbolted the adjuster bracket and use a big screwdriver to get it to move... :-/
  15. Was a cakewalk up until the point I was going to loosen the powersteering pump belt. Struggled with it for a good hour before I finally got it to move! 3-4 hours work tomorrow and it should be up and running again :-)
  16. I think the chrome rings look much better than the stock instruments without them. Anyways, today I started on replacing the timing belt, it's 6 years old and I'm going on a trackday event next weekend so not taking any chances, upon inspection the belt was fine however I'm still replacing it. Took some bloody effort to get to this point!
  17. I buy my plugs from ASC Group off ebay. For me it's cheaper to get plugs shipped from UK then buying them in Norway :-))
  18. 265/35-18 on 9.5" wide wheels on mine.
  19. You always need turbos ;-)
  20. But there are different types of transmission fluids/oils. You need the dexron 3 as stated earlier.
  21. Ugh, wish I had known that before I ordered. Oh well
  22. The black insert and Nissan twinturbo logos should be arriving along with my z1 smics and B&B catback later this month [emoji106] As far as lights go I could either tint the brake light red for that oem look or go 99 spec. Haven't decided yet...?
  23. Yeah no the wing is the same. No difference between short or long wb.
  24. I don't even like football but I'm watching the Iceland France game on Sunday!
