Project Nissan Stagea Turbo - Lairy Wrap... !
Yeah probably, although that straight six and all year round usability would make up for some of it ?

Project Nissan Stagea Turbo - Lairy Wrap... !
I want a stagea, preferably with a r34 front end, or 260rs. Would be a awesome winter ride. Could fit all my snowboard gear and would probably be a blast on the way to the mountains! To bad I would have to sell my Z to get one?

Is 12kg front springs too much?
It says so on the ksport website and czp website. Sounds really stiff. Yes I need pothole friendly suspension, stock or close to stock is best for the winter weathered mountain roads here and the 8/6 combination that was on the megans where quite good at dealing with all I threw them at. Stephen have you adjusted your dampening? 8/6 shouldn't be very skippy.

Is 12kg front springs too much?
Some dude is selling a set of ksport coilovers that I'm interested in, the only thing I'm skeptical about is the front spring rates, ksport kontrol pro, it says 12kg front and 6.3kg rear. All the other coilovers I'm looking at for street driving has 8/6kg. Is 4kg more in the front anything to worry about, I like my ride and don't want it to be to harsh. My old Z had Megan ez Street with the 8/6 springs and it was a pretty nice ride.

Whats the difference between an S1 PTU and an S2 PTU?
No problems, just use vag coils or rb25det series 2 coils. They have built in ignitors. If the 200sx boys can then so can we ?

Turbo question.
What? That can't be good? You're having one bank with more backpressure then the other then, putting extra load on one side of engine?

It's a good book

Turbo question.
They have precats on both sides, embedded in the downpipes
-
Turbo question.
But that shouldn't matter, I haven't seen any downpipes stating they only fit lhd or rhd, Japanese, euro or us. What matters is do you have a 4 or 5 bolt turbo, that's what everyone asks when you ask for advice on aftermarket downpipes

Here's my elbows. Eurospec lhd.

Nissan did think about making the z32 awd, but that would have ment the hood line would have had to be raised, which would have spoiled the design.

Turbo question.
What is this? I have divorced elbows/downpipes and they where a direct replacement for my stock cast iron ones. 45degree angle. So I have divorced downpipes with the stock cat pipes. Which shouldn't mate up according to your sketch Stephen and those n/a downpipes there's a picture of wouldn't fit a turbo unless you cut them to reweld a flange at the correct angle.

Turbo question.
I did it earlier this summer with engine in. Battery needs to be removed and also the brake booster, I also removed master cylinder to get enough space to remove the booster. It's tight but doable, think I used some 8 hours spread out over two days. If you have stock turbos you need a four bolt downpipe in either 2.5" or 3" depending on the size of your japspeed pipes.

Turbo failure discussion
I remember when the Norwegian government changed the taxing of cars some 10 years ago making diesel cars much cheaper than petrol. Everybody bought diesel cars and drove them(still do) like their earlier petrol n/a cars and everybody was having turbo failures on practically new cars, no wonder i thought. Never getting hot enough on small town errands, and being shut down without cooling off... Sent fra min HUAWEI VNS-L31 via Tapatalk

Turbo failure discussion
Most people that swap out turbos do it to run higher boost, could that be a reason? Americans don't take care of their stuff. That can be a factor :-P Water-cooled and oilcooled also helps stock turbos live long. Not all aftermarket have that option. Poor oil return lines can make a turbo fail. Lots of factors

Installing a boost controller, remove stock restrictors or not??

Installing a boost controller, remove stock restrictors or not??
Cool, thanks. No I don't have any boost jets installed, all stock boost system

Installing a boost controller, remove stock restrictors or not??
I was gonna install my forge unos bc today but a lack of connectors and wrong size vacuum hose put an early end to that. Anyways I followed the guide on Z32 wiki and it said after taking of the wastegate hoses to follow them back towards the end and remove the stock boost restrictor thats in the line, but getting to them seems physically impossible(perhaps from underneath the engine?). And then I looked at robos z32 page and it didn't mention anything about removing the stock jets, I searched on here too and found an install thread that said the same; just tee the wastegate hoses and plug the remaining hole and off you go... So is that the way to go?

Decat fitting from elbow back... Bolt trouble
I soaked mine but still snapped all 6 studs straight off. I was replacing them for split downpipes so didn't give a F*** but if you need to keep them then you should be careful. And a propane torch probably isn't a bad idea
