  1. could be then MPH convertor, sometimes the steering goes heavy at slow speeds then picks its self back up? i have also noticed the speedo needle jump at idle when i put the rear heated window on before i had Hids or even switch headilights on..
  2. Jusat installed a set of dip beam 6000k HIDS today, just been out to test them in the dark and when engine is running and everytime i switch the HID's on my speedo needle wangs itself round to 180 and back and the trip counter white segment rotates itself one number..WTF? is this a ground fault? weird or what.
  3. where is the best place to buy the fog light replacement ducts from? seen some on fle-bay but are they any good?
  4. ok no need to brag about your long length.. ill try that then mate, cheers!
  5. some of my window and roof trims are cracking and revealing the bright chrome work underneath. how do you strip all the black plastic coating off ready to re-paint, some of it just crumbles off in the hand but alot of it is still well stuck on..
  6. 300 miles to a full tank. simples.
  7. its the series thats in my pic below.. 93 plate... ?
  8. can we buy the standard Z spoiler in carbon fibre dudes? wanna take mine off and direct replace with a carbon one... thanks
  9. Its a no from me, got it out of the garage yesterday, drove off the drive on to the icy snowy close and got stuck. All the roads in Hull are fine now but our close is still covered, gutted.
  10. I dont believe a Z can be owned without this forum and the extremely helpfull and knowledgeable people on here! You in the best place bud, welcome!! James
  11. i dont mind a challenge but if only a handfull of people have completed such challenge then i may have to settle for the aftermarket kit Jeff suggests. Thanks all.
  12. They look awesome mate, i will treat myself to some of those for defo! i bought that very same facia bud so mine will look similar but not as good as yours, those gauges definatley are worth the money when they look like that installed. Hot glue keeps it secure then?
  13. Thanks bud, all sorted as the boost gauge comes with a sensor unit which T-pieces in. How does the Z Centre facia fix to the centre console? i have also had to remove the surround on the gauges but does look miles better as it brings them closer.
  14. can i actually fit Z cruise control to a car not fitted with it from factory though and i will need a list of parts if so..
  15. awesome thats just what i was looking for, which one for boost gauge though? cheers and thanks James
  16. Thanks Jeff but link no work.. cheers James
  17. Thanks mate, do we have any wiring colour diagrams for ECU and clocks bud? I bought 3 of those plasma gauges from e-bay:blushing: I have looked at the drift gauges which look awesome but having spent £2500on my car over the past 3 months on many high spec parts i thought id give them a go as they are only 20 quid each but i almost certainly will buy some good ones next year...
  18. I have a 93 SWB TT but it doesnt have cruise control like my other's had. Can i fit the parts nessesary to give me cruise? James
  19. Hi all, i have bought 3 gauges to fit in the panel Luke supplies from Z Centre:biggrin: air fuel ratio, boost and oil pressure (all electrical type). Can i pick up all the connections i need from the ECU which would be easier or to i need to link under bonnet? If ECU has anyone got a diagram/colour or number guide or if under bonnet same applies.. cheers James
  20. Thanks all for your comments, looking forward to fitting them over christmas and hope to be able to go out for a drive in it as at the moment its been in the garage for three weeks as the snow and ice is too bad in Hull down our close and id never get to the top of the street as its about as smooth as the moons surface.
  21. welcome bud, always nice to meet new people:thumbup:
  22. what was the axe for.. looks good mate, the hertz are good amps with nice clean crisp sound:thumbup1:
  23. Thanks mate, i knew we would all get there in the end just a difficult one to explain in writing (well for me at least, ha) I would suspect its a worn bush to be honest, im gonna buy the rear adjustables from Luke at Z centre so i can "reset" the rear like you have done. I wont be using it for a while anyhow its 5" thick in snow in Hull at the moment..
  24. Yer i will have to buy some but just curious as to what could put it out so much?
  25. sorry either im missing the point or i havent explained myself properly? The passenger side is adjusted to maximum negative camber. (top of wheel leans in) The driver side is adjusted to maximum negative camber. (top of wheel leans in) The passenger wheel leans in about 10mm more than drivers side.... no more adjustment left on either side.. Surely they should both be the same when on maximum? so why is one 10mm more than other? sorry people, hope this helps?
